Thanksgiving Day, Every Day

Jean Davis
Thanksgiving Day means different things to different people.

To some it's just a day of rest.

Across the land there are a lot of family "get-togethers".

There is turkey, ham and all the trimmings.

It's hard to decide which pie tastes the best.

As the family tree adds branches it becomes more difficult to get everyone together at one time in one place.

Actually there is not enough time in just one day to reflect and give thanks.

Life goes on at such a frantic pace.

Let us make each day a day of thanksgiving even though it's not marked on the calendar as such.

We live in a Nation so blessed by God and He expects us to keep in touch.

We keep in touch with Him daily through hearts that are grateful and sincere.

Our lives will be much happier if we talk to Him each day instead of once or twice a year.

We don't need a telephone or inter-net to talk to God.

We can speak to Him heart to heart.

But, "Thank You, Lord for our telephone and inter-net to keep in touch with our loved ones when we are physically miles apart.

Jean, this one is so very appropriate and says what needs to be paramount in each one's heart and head at this time.
