Decorate for Thanksgiving with ease. Here are some ideas for decorating your home that won't take hours. Some of these ideas can be done ahead of time or some with just 15 minutes to spare.

Porch - Thanksgiving Decorating Ideas

Take a Autumn blanket or rug and put it in the corner of your porch. Set a hay bail on top of the blanket, and top it off with a great pumpkin.

Set a mum plant or pumpkin on each end of your steps of on the porch.

Tie some corn stalks to any column on your porch and a few pumpkins around the stalks.

Put a small wheelbarrow, wagon or wooden box on your porch. Put some leaves in and fill with small pumpkins and gourds.

Entry Door - Thanksgiving Decorating Ideas

For an easy, but beautiful wreath for the door. Take a grapevine wreath and twine berry branches through it.

Take a garland of grapevine and put it up around your entry door, add a string of white lights.

Hot glue some moss on to a grapevine wreath, then decorate hot gluing acorns to the moss. Cover with acorns or use just a few.
A Styrofoam wreath with colorful leaves hot glued around it makes a nice wreath.

Make a swag of Indian corn and tie it together with a raffia bow.

Take a grapevine wreath and tie on some Thanksgiving cookie cutters with raffia or ribbon. This wreath also looks good in the kitchen.

Mantle - Thanksgiving Decorating Ideas

Take some old glass canning jars and turn them into candleholders. Take some mini pumpkins, carve out a circle in the top of the pumpkin just large enough for a tea light candles to fit in. Put the pumpkin inside the jar. Line up the jars on the mantle and arrange a few leaves around them.

Make a garland for your mantle using small apples, leaves, acorns, nuts, pinecones, mini pumpkins or gourds. Use twine for garland for strength, hot glue on some leaves and decorate.

Take some different size and color pillar candles and space them around on the mantle. Add some colorful leaves, pomegranates, black walnuts and acorns. This makes an easy but elegant arrangement.

Dining Table - Thanksgiving Decorating Ideas

Turn a Butternut squash, Spaghetti squash or a tall pumpkin in to a vase for fresh flowers. Carve out, cut bottom flat. Set on the middle of the table on top of a doily.

Use a glass platter for a candle arrangement. Set some leaves on top of the platter place some different size Autumn colored candles on the platter. One scented with pumpkin spice would be nice.

Of course the cornucopia is always a nice choice for your holiday table. You can purchase wicker cornucopia baskets, reasonably at any Wal-Mart or Hobby Lobby.
Fill them with some leaves, a few pomegranates and some acorns.

Here and There - Thanksgiving Decorating Ideas

Take an old glass canning jar and fill with acorns, dried leaves, pinecones, berries, rinds or Indian corn kernels. Add a few drops of Autumn aromatic scents. Place a small doily on top of jar and screw on ring. Set anywhere.

Trace a leaf or turkey on the front of a medium pumpkin, and carefully cut out. Tie a bow on the top with some natural, orange or black raffia. Set in any open space in

For a scent in any area. Take some oranges and press cloves in to them. Arrange in a wooden bowl or basket.

Hang up a chalk board on your kitchen wall. Write Happy Thanksgiving and the menu for dinner. Drape a little holiday garland or berry branch over the top of the chalk board.
