Thanksgiving decorations kids can make: Pine cone turkey kids crafts
Kids crafts sure come in handy at Thanksgiving. And what could be cuter than pine cone turkey Thanksgiving decorations for your table? While you're baking the big turkey, the kids can be making little turkey crafts to use as table accents or place card holders, or just for fun. If you have enough pine cones, you can have the kids craft a turkey for each Thanksgiving dinner guest at the table.

Pine Cone Turkey Kids Crafts Materials:
Pine cones -- the rounder the better
Brown pom-poms
Googly eyes
Yellow felt
Red felt
Colored pipe cleaners
Glue

The Pine Cone Turkey Head
Cut a yellow beak out of felt, and glue it on a brown pom-pom,
Cut a red wattle out of felt and glue it on the beak.
Glue two googly eyes on the pom-pom above the beak.
Glue the pom-pom head on the tip of the pine cone. Let glue dry.

A Tail for the Pine Cone Turkey:
Make 6 loops out of multicolored pipe cleaners for each turkey, and twist the ends together.
Glue each loop between pine cone petals near the back of the cone in a fan shape.

Pine Cone Turkey Feet:
For each foot, twist orange pipe cleaners into 3 little loops and glue underneath the turkey toward the front.

Turn Thanksgiving Decorations into Pine Cone Turkey Place Cards:
Cut card stock into the size of business cards, and fold in half. Write guest names on the cards, and prop them up in front of the turkeys.
