To count the blessings of all that we hold dear.
As we bow each of our heads to pray,
God listens to what we each of us say.
Family and friends will stop by to share,
A large meal prepared with love and care.
Now it is time to remember the past,
These are the memories that will last.
Time to eat our meals and celebrate,
With our loved ones who have a plate.
Sharing stories of those we still miss,
Knowing they are in heavenly bliss.
Take the time to reflect on years gone by,
Then, enjoy some homemade pumpkin pie.
Thanksgiving will always come and go,
However, our bond will continue to grow.
