Thanksgiving Dinner to Go: Pick Up a Fully Prepared Thanksgiving Dinner

Lori Wheat
Would you like to simplify your Thanksgiving Day dinner at home this year? Consider pre-ordering an entire Thanksgiving Day dinner from a local restaurant or grocery store. All you have to do is drive to the restaurant or store and pick up your pre-made Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving should be a relaxing time of year spent with friends and family. If you do not enjoy cooking a Thanksgiving Day feast, everyone will enjoy each other's company much more if your dinner is prepared for you. Sitting back, conversing, and relaxing with your loved ones is what the holiday is all about.

The following places offer Thanksgiving Day dinners to go and are available in many locations throughout the United States.

Marie Callender's Restaurant and Bakery

At Marie Callender's, you can choose from five different take-home Holiday Feasts. Each Holiday Feast serves six to eight people. The prices for Marie Callender's Holiday Feasts range from $89.99 to $139.99. You may choose from turkey or ham dinners or a combination of both turkey and ham. These Holiday Feasts include all the extras you need for a complete Thanksgiving dinner: Apple-Sage Stuffing; Fire-Roasted Yams (with cranberry streusel topping); Cranberry Sauce; Fresh Mashed Potatoes; Turkey Gravy; Chef's Vegetables; Fresh Baked Cornbread; Whole Pumpkin or Apple Pie; and Marie's Special Blend Coffee.

Considering the amount of money spent at a grocery store simply buying all the ingredients to make a Thanksgiving Day dinner for six to eight people, Marie Callender's Holiday Feasts are a reasonable alternative. Think of the time you will save letting all the preparation and cooking be done for you.

If you want to make your Thanksgiving Day dinner a bit more traditional by making most of the dishes at home, Marie Callender's also offers a la carte options. Such options include an oven roasted turkey breast for $34.99 or a whole roasted turkey for $46.99.

Albertsons, Safeway, Whole Foods, or Your Local Grocery Store

Albertsons and Safeway offer full Thanksgiving Day dinners that are prepared in advance and can be picked up at their store. The grocery store Thanksgiving dinner options are generally even less expensive than Marie Callender's Holiday Feasts.

Both Albertsons and Safeway offer turkey dinners that serve six to eight people for $34.99. In order to get this price at Safeway, you must have a Safeway Club Card. If you do not already have one, be sure to visit your local Safeway grocery store and obtain a Safeway Club Card for free.

If you are fortunate enough to live near a Whole Foods store, you can pick up a healthier version of Thanksgiving dinner. For $159.99, you can pick up your prepared organic turkey dinner that serves six people. The organic turkey dinner ncludes a 9-10 lb Organic Diestel Roasted Turkey, Organic Herb Stuffing, Organic Vegan Mushroom Gravy, Organic Scalloped Potatoes, Organic Cranberry Mango Relish, Organic Baked Spinach, Organic Roasted Beets and Onions, and 12 Organic Dinner Rolls.

Whole Foods even offers a Vegan Thanksgiving Dinner that serves one person for $19.99. The Vegan Meal includes Vegan Wild Rice and Cranberry Stuffed Gardein "Turkey" Roast, Vegan Pumpkin Quinoa, Organic Vegan Mushroom Gravy, Vegan Orange Cranberry Chutney, and Vegan Green Beans Almondine.
