Holiday time is now upon us and we are nearing Thanksgiving. This guide offers several events that you can involve yourself and your family in which include walk/run events, special movie nights, bowling with turkeys, holiday kid's camp and an arts and craft fair. The listed events are on both sides of Tampa Bay.

In participation with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, Youth LIFT is sponsoring a free movie event. The occasion includes a raffle, an opportunity to donate to Youth LIFT which helps facilitate educational achievement for homeless youth, free refreshments and a showing of the movie "Homeless to Harvard: the Liz Murray Story". The movie tells about a homeless high school student who successfully overcame the odds of being homeless and achieved her desired education.
You need to be 21 years or older to attend.

Tampa will be one of 80 cities nationwide where supporters of St Jude will be participating in a walk to raise funds for the children served by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please come out and participate.

The Foundation Fighting Blindness is hosting a free event which includes a 5k walk for teams or single walkers along with children's events, music and refreshments. This is a fund raising function to fund research to help fight eye diseases which cause blindness.

Three fun packed days for first to fifth graders who are out of school for Thanksgiving. The schedule includes activities in the gym and playground as well as arts and crafts and a fieldtrip.

MacDinton's is hosting their sixth annual event where you can enjoy bowling for prizes with frozen turkeys. Since drinking alcoholic beverages is a part of the festivities participants must be 21 years old or over and have a legal government issued photo ID. The drinks are specially priced for this event. You need to park in MacDinton's parking lot or use the valet supplied by 717 or you will receive a ticket and risk your car being towed.

This event is held every year to give people of all different levels of ability to help raise funds for local charities which include Children's Heart Foundation, Food Pantry Program at Religious Community Services and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Pinellas County.
Cost: $15-$20 and non-perishable and canned food for the food bank
