Thanksgiving Haiku: Turkey-less Feast

How to Save Time and Turkeys This Thanksgiving

Instead of turkey
I think I'll order pizza--
Easy Thanksgiving!

I'm not kidding around! I called my local Pizza Hut, Domino's, and Papa John's to see if they're open Thanksgiving Day. Pizza Hut will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Domino's will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. And Papa John's (my favorite of the three) will be closed on Thanksgiving. Phooey! I guess I'll have to settle for a Veggie Lover's pizza from Pizza Hut, then.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I love popcorn, cashews, cheesecake, Jane Austen, my husband and children, and Conan O'Brien. Why should you be jealous of me? I am double-jointed in both thumbs, I live in Kansas, I'm tall, and I'm modest...  View profile

Good girl. You know it makes sense. Was going to share a rather grim turkey story, but don't want to poop this party.

This is one of my favorite haikus for the thanksgiving contest! I am all about abolishing stressful holiday traditions (such as cooking loads of food and traveling hundreds of miles to see people when you're just two weeks away from ending the semester and have a million things to do).

Love the haiku- and the sentiment behind it! Shame on Papa John's!

Ha! That's like us this year. We have no plans so we might just go to Luby's. Supposedly they have a great deal.
