To Make a Thanksgiving Photo Table Runner You Will Need:
Plain cotton or canvas table runner
Family photos
Photo transfer paper
Puff paint pens, fabric paint pens,
Flat back bead, marbles, or jewels
Stamps,
Scissors
No sew or sewing machine
Go ahead and collect a small wallet sized photo of each family member. You will need to scan them into your computer. Print each photo out on a good quality photo transfer paper. I use Kodak's photo transfer paper all the time.
Now, cut each photo out individually.
Lay your table runner out on your ironing board. Space out yoru family photos to cover the Thanksgiving table runner. Now, iron them in pace following the instructions on the brand of photo transfer paper you bought.
Now, let the picture cool as needed.
You do have a few options when decorating you Thanksgiving table runner, but it looks really awesome to use some flat backed beads or jewels to create a frame around each photo.
Use a heavy grade fabric glue to adhere the flat backed jewels or marbles into place.
You could also create a small frame of fake bead using fabric puff paint.
Hold the tip of the puff paint on the edge of the photo. Squeeze to form a small bead of paint. Continue to surround the whole photo.
You can also paint on a frame with fabric paint.
You can also embellish the photos on the Thanksgiving photo table runner with small frames you cut out of fabric. Use a no frey product on the cut edges of the fabric frames and use fabric glue to hold them down.
Other fun ideas for decorating and embellishing the photos on your Thanksgiving table runner is to punch two holes right below each photo.
You can slip ribbon in form behind and tie them in a bow in the front.
You can also create frames around the family photos on this Thanksgiving craft project with stamps. Look for stamps in leaf patterns, turnkey patterns, or even polka dots.
Use fall colored fabric paints to stamp with!
Let each family member help work on this family photo Thanksgiving table runner and you will create a cherished keepsake you can use year after year to set yoru Thanksgiving table.
