With people weeping
With people crying
With people hurting
With people dying

So much grief
So much pain
So much hurt
But so much gain

There is always something to be thankful for

For me, it's the family
The friends and times
That we spend together
Just living our lives

Looking back and remembering special moments

A party for a friend
Election that brought hope
A visit to family
On a trip to home

Just little things
That make life worth living
That's what I'm thankful for
