Thanksgiving Printables, Coloring Pages and Activities for Children

Thanksgiving can be such a meaningful time. Not only does it have a great deal of historical significance as we share the story of the pilgrims with our children, it also can teach valuable lessons about things that we take for granted most of the year. Thanksgiving can be a time that encourages people to think about little things that they can be thankful for everyday. Here are some websites with printable coloring pages and activities for children to help them learn about Thanksgiving.

Kaboose is a great source for children's printables and much more. They have Thanksgiving printables of a family Thanksgiving dinner, a pilgrim and an Indian, pilgrims praying, a cornucopia, a pilgrim couple, and others. Along with the printable coloring pages, Kaboose also has many Thanksgiving craft ideas, mazes, word searches, and much more.

They have turkeys, a Pilgrim girl praying, a Thanksgiving harvest that's in the field and ready to be gathered, a Thanksgiving harvest basket, a cornucopia, and pilgrims. Okay, I saved my favorite for last. This is just an awesome site all the way around. They divide their Thanksgiving coloring pages into three sections. The first is what I call "just for fun". It has turkeys and pilgrims. The next section is called "Thankful For". There is a message on each one that says something to be thankful for. One says, "Thankful for a friend". The final section is called "Bible Verses". Each coloring page in this section has a Bible verse about being thankful.
