Enjoy Thanksgiving at Birch River Grill-An American Kitchen with a four-course plated dinner. The menu includes Butternut Squash and Kentucky Bourbon Bisque, Autumn Salad, with mulled wine poached pear, crumbled goat cheese, toasted pecans, and Kiln dried cherry dressing; Maple Glazed Free Range Turkey Breast, apple sausage cornbread stuffing, sage pan gravy, buttermilk mashed Yukon potatoes, brown butter green beans and Rustic Cranberry-Orange Relish. Finish off the meal with Spiced Pumpkin Pie with nutmeg whipped cream. The cost of the plated meal is $22.95 per person for adults and $12.95 per person for children 12 years and under. Thanksgiving menu is served from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Reservations are recommended.

On Monday, November 19, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., executive chef/owner Nadia Tilkian will hold her monthly cooking class series at Maijean. This month, learn to create a traditional Thanksgiving meal for a small crowd. Menu items include Turkey En Croute, Green Beans Almondine, Mashed Potatoes with cabbage and bacon. The cost is $100 per person and includes tastings off the menu along with wine pairings. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Maijean.

From now until November 19 you can order Smoked Turkey and Homemade Cornbread Stuffing from Chicago's famous barbecue place, The Smoke Daddy. Each turkey is smoked for 3-4 hours in apple cherry and hickory wood, giving it a wonderful flavor. Cornbread Stuffing is $3/person. Turkeys are $5/lb and range from 15-22 pounds. You can place an order by calling (773) 772-6656. Wednesday, November 21 is the last day for pick up as The Smoke Daddy is closed for Thanksgiving.
