Thanksgiving Side Dish Recipe

Michelle K. Miller
From sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes, to greenbean casserole, everyone has their traditional Thanksgiving side dishes. The recipe I am about to share with you is a little unorthodox, I suppose, since I don't know too many people that make it for Thanksgiving. However, when my mother makes this side dish, she gets compliments all around.

Broccoli Casserole

Ingredients:

I package of frozen broccoli florets

I can of cream of mushroom soup

1 egg

1/4 cup of mayonnaise

I tablespoon of butter or margarine

1/4 finely chopped yellow onion

1.5 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 sleeve of Ritz crackers.

Procedure:

The procedure for this recipe is simple. Before you do anything, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then mix everything but the broccoli together in its own bowl. In a casserole dish, put the broccoli in the bottom. Then, pour the mixture of the other ingredients, over top of the broccoli. Mix well. Put into the oven for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is firm. Feel free to add extra cheddar cheese to the top.

Again, this recipe isn't a typical Thanksgiving side dish, but if you add it to your feastly lineup, it's sure to be a new, instant hit.
