Getting the items together will be easy, also inexpensive. The ties need to be plain in color with no stripes or patterns on them. The ties can be collected from friends, family, even the children can ask the neighbors that you know well for their old unused ties. They might even share with them that you are making a Thanksgiving door décor for the front door. Bet they will be waiting to see it finished and hanging on the door.

Now you will need to go on the internet for a turkey, one that is facing the front with the head, that has the whole body, feet, and feathers. You will need construction paper in colors white and red to trace the Thanksgiving turkey décor so it will be stronger. Now cut the whole turkey from the printing paper to trace on the white construction paper. Then you will need to cut the feathers down leaving about two inches out on them. You will need to draw then cut the waddle out of the red construction paper. After collecting the ties you can lie them on a table in a half moon shape to get an idea how it will look as a Thanksgiving Turkey Décor. Place the ties about three layers out forward from the body for the feathers. Make sure that you keep the points on the ties by cutting from the other end. The ties will need to be cut in different lengths for the turkey feathers, just make sure that when cutting them they will come down in behind the body when put together. You can make the Thanksgiving turkey any size by the length you cut the ties and the number you choose to use. After that place the turkey on the ties. Now put the red waddle in place on the turkey face.

Now that everything has been cut for the Thanksgiving turkey and has been laid out you can see how it will be put together. At this point you should be able to see how it will look when finished. Now you will need a needle, thread, regular glue, hot glue and gun. Also have either crayons or color pens, your choice to do the coloring.

Okay it's time to draw the face on your turkey then color it, you can choose to use the crayons or the pens, color the rest of the body and paper feathers. Next use the thread to tack stitch or the hot glue to attach the ties together. It will be your choice which one to use. Put about three to four stitches if using thread. If you choose to hot glue them use a thin line to join them together. After that is finished, then glue the waddle to the face of the turkey door décor using the regular glue. Now glue the paper part of the Thanksgiving turkey to the ties using the hot glue.

Now your Thanksgiving Turkey Décor is finished, ready to hang on the door or wall.
