That First Sip is like a Peek into a Cleaner, Sunnier, Brighter World

Eric Stanfield
This alcoholic summer
Carried into the fall
And all signs point
To a winter of
Laughs and hangovers

Bad habits masked
By cigarettes and
Breath mints

I'll stretch
Twist, turn,
Mangle the truth

So my Great American Bender
Shall span
This shitty pictured calendar
I pass out marking

On my desk drunk
