That Man that Preys

Deborah Coss
I despise the man that preys,
On those he thinks are lesser than!
I can see the good, and could, in his heart,
But then I see the hungry beast take rule,
And I see his world ruled by the cruel!
No safe harbors, for he will hunt you down.
No heart too fragile or pure for the hunger,
Then I have to remind myself,
He is own and most extreme victim
As we shun him, turn him out
To starve from his own emotional void.
I can not help it, but I despise the man that preys,
On those he thinks of as lesser than!
