That Unexpected Moment of My Life - a Poem

samaira
"Life changed in seconds,

My destiny took a wrong turn this season.

I was so excited and happy for my new life,

Where I saw my dreams changing to reality.

Our destination was so near to us,

But,

In seconds,

Everything slipped from my hands,

Like sand or dust.

At night,

I feared to close my eyes,

And forgot,

How to smile.

In minutes,

My dreams got shattered,

I don't know,

How much to them it matters.

I felt so depressed and nervous,

And couldn't find anyone to save us.

I cried alone in my room,

Convincing myself,

That everything will get well soon."

Truly revealing. Life can change on a dime with any unexpected events.
