The 10 Best Looking Female Athletes

Darren Pare
Okay I'll admit it I like to watch women play sports. There is something about watching a beautiful woman that is in shape competing in sports. Now I am old enough to remember watching Chris Evert play tennis and I will admit to having a bit of a crush on her at the time. Tennis seems to be a breeding ground for beautiful women, but other sports are catching up. Here are my selections for the ten best looking current female athletes, thus women like Anna Kournikova are exempt.

10. Becky Hammon: Hammon is a point guard for the San Antonio Silver Stars of the WNBA. She is a 7-time league all star. She makes the list for her girl next door looks and a smile that catches your eye. She did cause a bit of a stir in 2008 when she played for the Russian team in the Olympics.

9. Caroline Wozniacki: The 20 year old Danish tennis player is more than just good looking she was the number one seed in this year's U.S. Open. She is currently ranked number two in the WTA rankings, behind only Serena Williams. Her wavy blond hair is what gets her on this list.

8. Lauren Jackson: This Australian basketball player is a 7-time WNBA all star. She has also won the league MVP award 3 times. Jackson is 6 foot 5 inches tall and her long legs are gorgeous. She just led her Seattle Storm team to the 2010 WNBA championship without her team losing a game in the playoffs. That's impressive.

7. Ashley Force: Many people think that the hottest woman in a race car is Danica Patrick, I say they haven't seen Ashley Force. The 27 year old funny car drag racer is the daughter of racing legend John Force. The beautiful brunette finished second in points in her division in 2009.

6. Kyra Gracie: Gracie is currently training to make her MMA debut. The Jiu-Jitsu black belt is a stunner in more ways than one in the ring. There is something that is strangely appealing about a beautiful woman that could probably put you unconscious at a moment's notice.

5. Natalie Gulbis: 2010 hasn't been the best year for the blond 27 year old on the LPGA tour, although it may be because other things have taken precedence over golf. Gulbis has appeared on television, Celebrity Apprentice and The Price is Right, more than the leader board lately. She does have one win on the LPGA tour, but that was back in 2007. With all that said she is still in incredible shape and the best looking woman on the tour.

4. Jennie Finch: Okay so technically Jennie retired a couple of months ago to start a family, but there is little doubt she could smoke a softball past most men. Finch was the face of the U.S. softball team for three good reasons; she is extremely talented, she has a great personality, and she is just drop dead gorgeous. Enough said.

3. Maria Sharapova: She may have fallen down the tennis rankings a bit, she is currently ranked number 15 in the WTA rankings, but she still has a solid ranking on this list. Sharapova is what Anna Kournikova could have been. Sharapova was ranked number one in the world and has won three majors. She has a playful smile that just wins you over in no time.

2. Ana Ivanovic: Surprise another great looking tennis player. The 2008 French Open winner is a brunette heart breaker. Just like Sharapova she also made it up to number one in the world. Ivanovic is currently ranked 37th in the world.

1. Tanith Belbin: Belbin is on the top of this list for one reason her amazing green eyes. The 2006 Olympic silver medalist in ice dancing is just a natural beauty on and off the ice. Here's hoping that she will be back in the 2012 games.

No Lolo Jones? Are you crazy?

FYI - I think throwing out the race card is often an issue. But, people of color cannot be racist... they can be prejudice, but not racist. Being any ist comes from having power. Minorities don't have power in America. Just because we have a half black president doesn't mean that life is any better for minorities in this country.

Many white people see being white as the absence of race, and therefore don't understand the plight of people of color.

Before we jump to any conclusions about one another we should strive to understand.

if all the women on the list were black i really wouldnt care, and i sure as hell wouldnt say who ever made this list is racist. why dont you try seeing the list as just 10 women, not white women, not black women, not asian women, but just women.... thats the problem the people who yell out racism are the biggest racist of all, i didnt even realize that all these women are whit until i read the comments(due to lack of pics) peole need to chill and not be so quick to point fingers and call people racist because there the ones who sound the most racist

  • Evan1/13/2011

no pics???? thats a half assed job... racist though i dont think so... the guy prefers white women, that makes him a racist. its a fu#%*en opinion u idiots, people always have to throw the race issue out there, maybe there the racist, pointing out that there's no black, or asian women..
