The 10 Best Songs by My Favorite Group, Boyz II Men

After nearly a decade in music, Boyz II Men is still going strong. It recently released yet another album, Motown Journey to Hitsville USA. Considered by many to be the greatest R&B group of all time, the group has some of the biggest singles of all time. Here is a look at what I think are its 10 best songs, not all necessarily hits.

End of the Road. Perhaps the biggest song by this group, 'End of the Road' was a mega hit for Boyz II Men. Straight from the Soundtrack to the movie Boomerang, End of the Road was a record breaking song staying at the top of the charts for thirteen weeks. The Babyface produced song broke a record set by the great Elvis Presley by staying at number one for so long. What makes this song so special is that it's theme is one that is timeless. A guy and a girl break up, but the guy is not ready to move on.

One Sweet Day. This song saw the Boyz team up with another superstar Mariah Carey. Both Carey and the Boyz combined lyrics to longs they were already working on. The theme centers around losing a loved one and focusing on how you will see them again one day. This song spent and amazing sixteen weeks at number one which is still a record today. Many consider this the greatest single in Billboard history.

I'll Make Love to You. This popular track is still part of many love compilation CD's today. Produced by the great Babyface, this song put the 'love' back into music during a time in which the emphasis was more on sex. With their silky smooth suits, and a great video, this is the song that lifted the 'II' album to great heights. It to spent several weeks at number one.

It's so Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday. This was one of the groups very first singles of their CooleyHighHarmoney debut. The song was an introduction to the world for Boyz II Men. This one is especially close to my heart, as it reminds us of past memories and how time can go by so quick. Definitely a Boyz II Men classic.

On Bended Knee. This is another one of the group's hits from the 'II' album. The theme of the song is simple, 'Please take me back.' This Jimmy-Jam and Terry Lewis hit, had a super video and is famous for replacing another Boyz II Men song, "I'll Make Love to You," at number one. This is an accomplishment only achieved by the Beatles.

Motown Philly-This is one of the few up-tempo songs that was a hit for Boyz II Men. One of their first singles off the CooleyHighHarmoney Album, this song was great because it was something you could dance to, but showed off their harmoney at the same time.

I Will Get There- This was a great song by Boyz II Men but was not necessarily a hit. The song barely reached the top 30 on the Billboard singles chart. This was however one of the most inspirational songs the group ever recorded. It is part of the Prince of Egypt Soundtrack. Supported by a great video, true fans of the group know this song well.

Oh Well- This song reunited Boyz II Men with the great Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. This was a great ballad off of the Full Circle CD. This song is similar to another hit from the group, On Bended Knee. Unfortunately, few people ever heard this song as it was never released as a single.

A Song For Mama- This is a song that you will hear almost every mothers day. A top ten hit, A Song for Mama is an inspirational hit that came from the Evolution Album. The Babyface produced song makes the list because of it's great message.

Dreams- Another great song that only the true fans will know, Dreams comes from Boyz II Men's 5th studio album NathanMichaelShawnWayna. The well written track describes a love that a person only knows when the sleep at night.
