Alexander Pope said, "To err is human, to forgive divine." One thing that comes to my mind when thinking about personal failures in life is the fact that we all have made mistakes, and that we all must learn to forget about those things that may be holding each one of us back from achieving greatness and obtaining our weight loss goals.

How many times have we been totally committed to losing weight, but have erred from our good intentions along the way. I will give 10 of the biggest weight loss mistakes and blunders that I have made in my life.

Good intentions are great, but without much effort we are doomed to fall! My wife often reminds me, "Words are cheap, and that actions speak louder then words." We must be totally committed to the cause of weight loss, and the prize of better health to achieve our goals in order to be successful.

Not keeping good company! Isn't it amazing how often we become like those we hang around with. Keep yourselves surrounded by those who are a positive influence. Remember these words when it comes to weight loss, "Birds of a feather often flock together." Not keeping good company is one of the biggest weight loss mistakes that can be avoided to achieve our weight loss goals.

Don't give up! When you feel deeply that you are going to fail, remember the three words, Don't give up! There have been many who have been down the road of getting into shape, but have failed because they gave up at the end of the race. Setting ourselves up to fail and giving up is unmistakable weight loss mistake which can be avoided in order to achieve our weight loss goals.

Not eating at home! How often have we on the journey to better health, and been staggered by eating at the easy and simple on the go fast food restaurant. If you do find yourself here along your journey try to make a good and healthy food selection.
Not working out! We must all be committed to some kind of exercise along each our journeys to better health. Walking, riding a bike, running, and swimming are all great ways to maximize our weight loss efforts. Remember, just keep moving! Being sedentary is a sure fire way to increase your chance at failure.

Not having a vision! Not having a positive vision of where we would like to be at the end of our journey is a great way to establish a path to failure. Where there is no vision the people will surely perish. Draw off the positive energy of your vision, create a new you an image.

Don't set goals that are unattainable! Keep in mind that we are unique, and that some of us might lose weigh faster then others. Don't get discourage if the weight is not falling off as you think it should. We are all special and unique!

We must all learn to walk before we can run! Start off slow on your weight loss journey. Gradually obtain your goals. Remember, Rome was not built in a day.

Don't get into fad dieting! One of the worst mistakes we can make is to get into the fad diet weight loss roller coaster ride. I have lost several pounds in the past on many of the weight loss fad diet plans, but to my dismiss have gained all and more weight then I had lost.

Forgetting the failures of the past! Clear your mind of the failures of the past, get on the path to better health, and remember have fun losing those extra pounds and achieving your weight loss goals.
