The MP3 player comes with a lanyard, headphones, and a USB extension cable. The Sansa Express is "direct connect," which means that the USB is built into the player. The fastest possible connection can be achieved with USB 2.0 ports. There is no need for a cord, instead the MP3 player plugs right into the computer. Adding music to the player is as simple as dragging and dropping the music files onto the MP3 player just as you would onto a USB drive.
This MP3 player includes the ability to play Audible Audiobooks, tune into FM radio (and can record it), record voice, and it supports MP3, WMA, and WAV files. The OLED screen is bright and displays information about the songs, depending on the information you have included with the file. You cannot add new information to the file once it has been added to the MP3 player. This model does not support pictures or movie files, although you can use it as a USB drive to transfer files from one computer to another.
The Sansa Express has a 15 hour rechargeable battery which recharges when plugged into the computer. Navigation is easy with the thumb-sized directional pad. The entire MP3 player is fits easily in your hand or can be strung around your neck with the included lanyard.
One of the most interesting features of this player is the upgradeable micro-SD card slot. These tiny cards can be purchased in a number of sizes up to 2GB. You can upgrade your 1GB player to a 3GB player easily by inserting the card. Transferring files, even with the card, is still simple. Just drag and drop your MP3s onto the micro-SD card and the MP3 player will load the database automatically. You can even have several micro-SD cards and swap them out to vary your music. This MP3 player is quite versatile.
Overall, the Sansa Express is a great MP3 player for those on a budget. As technology increases, so can this MP3 player from Sansa with the upgradeable micro-SD card slot. For $59.99 the amount of space and ease of use of the Sansa Express cannot be beat. This product is recommended for any MP3 aficionados.
