The 2006 Toyota Tundra

Quite Poissibly the Greatest Full Size Truck You Can Buy

Eric Lund
So it's finally about that time. You're looking for a new truck. But, there are so many options out there, how is one to know what the truck to get is. Well there are a lot of good new 2006 trucks on the market, but none of them have the superiority of the Toyota Tundra.

Now I know a lot of you are thinking that when it comes to a full size work truck, that last thing you want to do is go foreign. I used to think like you too, but the new 2006 Toyota Tundra has really changed the way I think about foreign trucks and their place in the American labor industry. The new 2006 Tundra is a tough and rugged beast of a truck that will get the job done. Available in 4x2 v6/ v8 or 4x4 v8 with a 4.7-liter 32-valve engine, this truck gets up to 271 horse power. That's more than enough to get your hauling needs taken care of. Up to 7100lbs to be exact. You can also get it with Toyota's famous TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Off-road package in the Access and Double cabs for when your job site doesn't exactly take the most paved of roads to get into. With all this power the Tundra still manages to get decent fuel economy at around 20 mpg.

Aside from the mechanical stats, the 2006 Tundra brings a spacious, relaxing, and quiet ride. This truck is also extremely easy to drive. Even if you're a 4 ft tall 70 year old lady you wont have a hard time navigating this truck through the busy city streets or the rural back roads. You can get it with an optional sliding moon roof, rear seat climate controls, and dvd entertainment system to entertain the kids in the back. It is available in four models, the Regular Cab, Access Cab, Step side, and Double Cab. All allow for a still large enough truck bed to haul just about anything you need to haul (A personal pet peeve of mine with most of today's full size trucks). The rear window also slides down electronically which can essentially allow the bed of the truck to extend into the rear of the cab if need be. The 2006 Tundra is MSRP between $16,155 and $33,515 depending on what options you decide to get. But believe me, whatever options you go with, you will be happy with your new 2006 Toyota Tundra.
