The most impressive part of the Dodge Caravan was the stow-and-go seating. Stow-and-go seating is absolutely fabulous. You can fold the middle and the three set of seats in the Dodge Caravan completely down and you have a flat area large enough to put a love seat or a sofa. You could even sleep comfortably back there with the seats folded down. The Kia Sedona also allows you to fold the third set of seats down flat and the second set of seats you can fold and store behind the front seats. The Kia allows you to also make a flat area that you can haul cargo but it is not quite as easy to fold the seats or large a flat area as the Dodge Caravan.
The Kia Sedona is a few inches longer and wider then the Dodge Caravan yet they both have approximately the same gas mileage. Both vans are quiet and give you a nice smooth ride. They also are great to drive and maneuver easy and well.
The front seats are comfortable in both the Dodge Caravan and the Kia Sedona. The front seats seem to be larger in the Kia Sedona and the steering wheel is farther from your stomach but both vans give you plenty of room between the seat and the steering wheel.
The middle seats are also very comfortable in both the Kia Sedona and the Dodge Caravan yet the leg room in the Dodge seems nicer for long legs.
In the third seat you will still be able to fit adults comfortable in both the Dodge Caravan and the Kia Sedona but leg room in both is not as nice as in the middle seats.
If you like to change your own oil you may find that the Dodge Caravan is easier only because the filter is simpler to remove. The Kia Sedona has a more complex oil filter that is suppose to work better. I was not able to see if the oil filter in the Kia was better however.
If you are looking for a mini van then both of these vans will serve you well. You can find good things in each of these mini vans.
