The 2010 NBA All-Star Skills Challenge Won by Steve Nash for Second Time
The 2010 NBA All-Star Skills Challenge Took Place on Saturday, February 13th, 2010
All four contestants go out in the first round, with the best two times advancing to the final round to try and win the 2010 trophy. It provided an interesting line-up, because Brandon Jennings is a rookie and Russell Westbrook is only in his second year in the league. Derrick Rose was supposed to participate, but ended up dropping out of the 2010 All-Star Game festivities due to an injury. Each of the contestants remaining had to go through an obstacle course that involved pin-point passes, taking two shots, and dribbling around obstacles before racing to the finish line.
Before the 2010 competition, both Steve Nash (2005) and Deron Williams (2009) had both won a skills challenge in the past.
2010 Skills Challenge Participants
Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
Brandon Jennings (Rookie), Milwaukee Bucks
