The 2010 NBA All-Star Skills Competition took place on Saturday night. The 2010 NBA Skills Challenge was designed to show off the speed, dribbling, agility and passing skills of some of the best in the business. It was two rounds between four players that have to go through an obstacle course as fast as they can possibly go through it. In the 2010 NBA All-Star Skills Challenge, the four contestants were Russell Westbrook, Brandon Jennings, Steve Nash, and Deron Williams.

All four contestants go out in the first round, with the best two times advancing to the final round to try and win the 2010 trophy. It provided an interesting line-up, because Brandon Jennings is a rookie and Russell Westbrook is only in his second year in the league. Derrick Rose was supposed to participate, but ended up dropping out of the 2010 All-Star Game festivities due to an injury. Each of the contestants remaining had to go through an obstacle course that involved pin-point passes, taking two shots, and dribbling around obstacles before racing to the finish line.

Before the 2010 competition, both Steve Nash (2005) and Deron Williams (2009) had both won a skills challenge in the past.
