The 2011 Billboard Music Awards -- What an Amazing Night!
On May 22nd on ABC, the music industry came together for one and celebrated the chart toppers for the year. The 2011 Billboard Music Awards on ABC were full of suprises and awards. The night started out with a superstar performance from Rhianna and Britney Spears performing "S&M" . Their tight, leather outfits went along with the stripper pole props on stage.
The first award of the night was awarded to Taylor Swift for Top country Album of the year.She also was awarded for Top Country artist.
Justin Beiber won a total of six awards including : Top New Artist, Top Social Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Digital Media Artist, Top Pop Album and Top Streaming Song (video) . This was Justin Beibers first Billboard Awards show, and he dominated the awards!
Taio Cruz won top pop song , top 100 hot song and top digital song for the song "Dynamite" during the night. He also performed his two hit songs " Break your heart " and "Dynamite" and agave a enjoyable performance.
One of the best , anticipated performances of the night was by Beyonce. Beyonce performed her new single "We run the world".The performance consisted of cool technology, great choreography, dancers and of course Beyonce. After her performance Beyonce was awarded the Millennium award, which was presented by her mother Tina Knowles.
Rihanna won ' Top female artist of the year" and "Radio Artist of the year " . She accepted her award wearing a white pant suit outfit , that had a feminine touch .
Other big winners of the night include : Eminem taking 6 awards, Katy Perry, Usher, Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas
Nicki Minaj performed her new song " Super Bass" and Britney Spears joined on her stage to sing her hit "Dancing till the world ends". The billboard awards was a night to remember , and a great way to start off the awards season.
