If you enjoyed last year's event, then you won't want to miss this year's event which promises to be bigger and even better! According to the United Pullers of the Carolinas website, classes at this event will include: Super Stock Tractor, Super Farm Tractor, Light 4-wheel drive trucks, 2-wheel drive, 4-wheel drive, Modified, and Mini's and Stock Trucks.
A volunteer fireman from one of the participating fire departments said they are expecting most all of the drivers from last year to return. After the success of last year's event, and the track being recognized as having one of the best set-ups in the state, many newcomers have expressed an interest in participating. The Vance County Fire Association has been extremely pleased with the support and the level of excitement that the event has generated both within the community and with event participants. Firemen received many helpful comments and suggestions following last year's event which they have strived to incorporate into improving upon and expanding this year's event.
In anticipation of a much larger crowd this year, the Vance County Fire Association has already made arrangements for additional bleachers. The fairgrounds area is stroller and lawn chair friendly. Concessions like hotdogs, hamburgers, and funnel cakes will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Vance County Fire Association.
The Truck and Tractor Pull is an annual fundraising event presented by the Vance County Fire Association in cooperation with the United Pullers of the Carolinas, which is an Official NTPA Sanctioned State Member (National Tractor Pullers Association).
