The 5 Best Diaper Rash Treatments for Your Infant

Aiden of the Tower
Diaper rash is a huge part of so many parts of our lives. For some of us it is only a small part and we are blessed with only occasional diaper rash. Other babies have a huge problem with diaper rash and are constantly plagued with it. It doesn't have to be that way any more and you can find the perfect product for you and your baby.

Desitin Creamy-This diaper rash ointment is truly the best of both worlds. Desitin is a great product and offers a lot of great results. Now you can find that Desitin Creamy is great with those great results all while being easier to clean off of your fingers and to apply. This product is a little pricier then the original, but the easy clean up is worth it. This is a zinc oxide cream that is effective on diaper rash. This formula still smells a little funky, but is worth it since it actually works.

Desitin Original-This diaper rash is the ointment that any have used and appreciated for years. This is an effective cream that is less expensive then the creamy option. The only big problem is that it is hard to wash off of the fingers and isn't as easy to apply.

Boudreaux's Butt Paste-Another effective diaper rash treatment is Boudreaux's Butt Paste which is available at Walmart, Target, and Walgreen's. Many claim that this is the best option on the market. It is very successful, but not as easy to use as Desitin.

Vaseline Petroleum Jelly-Some things that work well aren't designed for diaper rash, but they work just as well, if not better. Petroleum Jelly is one of these things. You can apply it and it protects the skin from the moisture. This can make for fast healing that doesn't have an odor. It is true that it isn't the easiest to clean off, but it will get the job done. Also there are few things less expensive.

Corn Starch-Some people recommend using baby powder, however there are some studies that suggest talc which is found in most baby powders isn't safe. You can use corn starch instead. Take a small amount in your hand and then gently rub it onto the rash.

These things can all help your child's diaper rash. It is important to change diapers often, keep the area clean, and also to let it air out whenever possible. It is important to note that some rashes are caused due to allergies. This could be to the diapers, the wipes, the creams or ointments used. You should try changing the products you use one at a time if your child has a rash all the time. This could make a huge difference. Diaper rash is sadly something we have to deal with, but it can be dealt with quickly and easily.
