The 5 Best iPad Apps for Bloggers

Must Have Apps for Bloggers

Millionaire Hoy
The iPad is power-packed, portable, and is pretty much a do-it-all gadget that's absolutely perfect for blogging; here are the top 5 apps for bloggers.

WordPress - Free

WordPress is the premier blogging platform on the web and supports nearly every blogger - from the novice to seasoned expert. WordPress for the iPad is a must have app for any serious blogger that uses the WordPress platform - and it'll make your blogging life all that much easier by making it easy to manage your WordPress blogs on your Apple iPad.

Dropbox - Free

Dropbox is one of the most revolutionary apps on the iPad - and can be used to do nearly everything - and it allows you to easily sync files across multiple computers. It is a great app for bloggers because it's an easy way to easily retrieve ideas, projects, and articles without storing data directly to the iPad and without having to manually update the same information on multiple computers.

FTP On the Go - $6.99

For serious bloggers, having a mobile FTP client is a must and FTP On the Go is the best option on the Apple iPad. FTP On the Go allows you to browse, upload, and download directly from your FTP server, view changes, an inbuilt editor, organize files, import files from emails, and lots of other features. For close to only $7 bucks, FTP On the Go is an iPad app that all advanced bloggers need to have in their arsenal.

Flipboard - Free

Sometimes blogging is less about creating content and more about staying "in the know". Flipboard is an award winning app and has even been named Apple's iPad App of the Year for 2010 for the way that it's changed how information is received on the iPad. Flipboard is part RSS feed, part magazine, part social browser, and part awesome - and will serve to be an endless resource for the blogger looking for a single place to keep up with all of their frequently visited sites.

Pages - $9.99

What good is having all of the other apps on this list if you're not able to sketch out all of those blogging ideas of yours in written form? Pages is the premier word processor for the Apple iPad and is a must have app for not only bloggers, but for anyone that owns an iPad.

Nice list – I have all of them except for FTP on the go, but the idea of having a FTP client on my iPad doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I had a guest blogger put up his top 5 iPad apps on my blog. They were Flipboard, Aweditorium, LIFE, Project Magazine and Evernote.
