Approximately 100,000 workers are hired during November and December, and you should not let your chance slip by to get the job you always wanted or to get in with the company you have always loved. In this article I am going to let you know the 5 tips that could help you land the temporary job of your dreams, good luck!

- Contact A Temp Agency
If you are looking for a for sure job this holiday season then a temp agency is where you need to go. You can usually find out if your city has one or not by looking in the phone book or calling the operator. Temp agencies will require that you take them a resume, fill out an application, and that you take some tests when you first visit them. Once this process is done, they will let you go home and call you once they found a job that matches your needs and the companies. Note that although this doesn't seem like it will work, chances are that it will; temp agencies get tons of employers monthly who are looking for employees.

- Apply Online
Applying online these days is much easier. Most employers prefer it that way, and if you have a computer at home then you should get started right away. There isn't much that is needed to start work applications online. Open up a web browser, visit the company's website, scroll down till you see "Careers", select it, and begin an application. It's that easy, and you will most likely get a call sooner than you would if you had submitted your application in paper.

- Get A Reference
References are very important to potential employers. They want to know that you have experience doing what they may hire you to do, and they want to know that you've done good in your past jobs. If you're going to submit a resume, be sure to list at least 2 professional references. Note that it's always best to notify the persons that your listing that they may be getting a call.

- Start Early
The companies who are hiring for the holidays have already started interviewing candidates. If you want to find a holiday job you better start early. Now is the time to go get the applications and to start applying online. The sooner you get yours in, the better chance you have of getting a job. You should remember that you're not going to be the only one looking for a job, so being early is something that you must do or else you may risk the chance of all the positions being filled once you apply.

- Make A Resume
If you are the type of person that gets shy during interviews and forgets all that they have to say then you are the person who needs to have a resume. Everyone applying for a job should have one, but there are specific jobs and specific people that require you have one. It's always best to list pertinent information only, and to have good references. If you have a solid resume and you make a good impression you should be hired in no time this holiday season.
