The 5 Best Waterproof Sunblocks for Summer 2009

Jenny Thomas
Summer is getting closer and closer every single day, so it is time to clean out the pool, wash the dusty beach towels, and uncap the sunscreen. Of course, not all sunscreens are created equal. The number of products available to protect precious human skin is simply staggering, but some products pull more weight than others. The following sunscreens are some of the best and also personal favorites.

The first, and overall best, waterproof sunscreen is Banana Boat Ultra Defense. This waterproof sunscreen is available as a spray or a lotion. The lotion is available in SPF 15, 30, 50, and 80. The spray is available in SPF 30, 50, and 85. Banana boat also has other waterproof sunscreen available for the purposes of sports, deep tanning, and child use. There is a specially formulated no-tear formula for kids. In addition to all the sunscreen, after sun gels, lotions, and sprays. Neutrogena also has a fine waterproof sunscreen. Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock provides protection without the oily feeling caused by many other sunscreens. This particular product is available in SPF 55, 70, and 85. Neutrogena also has a number of other waterproof sun protection products made for sports, aging skin, children, and specifically babies. The website contains information about the sun and skin care. For more information on Neutrogena sun protection products, visit: http://www.neutrogena.com/

Coppertone is one of the oldest and most trusted sunscreen suppliers, and that trust has been well-earned. This brand's classic Sunscreen Lotion, available as low as SPF 8 and as high as SPF 50. Like the other brands, there are products made especially for very young children and babies, as well as people participating in sports. This product can get a bit oily, but the protection is worth that initial sticky sensation. For more information on Coppertone products, visit: http://www.coppertone.com

The product line provided by SkinCeuticals is slightly more expensive than the other products listed here, but the consumer gets what the consumer pays for. The products only range up to SPF 45 and only come in lotions, unlike the other products listed here that have sprays or mists available. Still, the level of skin care and protection make SkinCeuticals products a worthy investment. For more information on SkinCeuticals sun protection, visit: http://www.skinceuticals.com/

Bullfrog Sunblock has a number of a kid-friendly products that are ready for family fun. Overall, the best product for all ages is Bullfrog SuperBlock Lotion, which is available in SPF 50. This product is hypoallergenic and claims that it will not clog pores. So far, there is nothing against those claims. Other products are available in mists and lotions, with some products geared specifically towards children. It is very important to stay protected from the sun. The products above are quality waterproof sunblocks, and hopefully it will be easier to protect healthy skin this summer.

Is this review for real??? LOL
Please people, please! Do your own research and not believe a ridiculous article like this one. I've never read a more terrible review of sunblocks in my life!! Anyone can post a list of waterproof sunblocks. Now tell us why Banana Boat is the best of the rest! How long did it stay on in water? What test group did you use? What ingredients does it use? what was the exposure time? Don't just write such and such are the best sunblocks without giving test results to back it up. C'mon! Get real! Did these companies pay you to write this article??

I am confused, you are using the words sunblocks and sunscreens interchangeably. I thought sunblocks were supposed to block sun rays completely and therefore no SPF was required, whereas sunscreens allowed tanning along with protection and so they had an SPF rating.
