The 5 Lamest Excuses a Guy Can Come Up with to Break a Date

There are some pretty bad excuses out there that have been used to break dates but there are a few that just seem to stand out above the rest. Here is a look at five of the lamest excuses a guy can use when they are breaking a date with a girl.

1. "I have to take my dog to the groomers". Unless your dog has an extreme emergency where their hair is physically interfering with them being able to breathe or function this is one of the worst excuses a guy can come up with when trying to break a date.

2. "I am sorry but I just recently got married". Believe it or not some guys have actually given this excuse. Instead of stretching the truth so far or if it by chance actually the truth the guy could actually find a more gentle way to break the news to his date that he is no longer interested in taking her out.

3. "I cannot date you because I like you too much." This is one of the most pathetic excuses a guy can give a girl for breaking a date. Not only does it reek of being cheesy but for those girls who are naive enough to fall for it it will only confuse them and lead them on which unfortunately is the goal of some guys when they use this lame excuse.

4. "Our date interferes with my online gaming time." No matter how much you enjoy your online games such as World of Warcraft or any other game this is not real reason to break a date and chances are when you use this excuse to break a date with a girl you can pretty much not count on having another chance to date her again as it will deal a huge blow to her ego because you are ditching her just to play an online game.

5. "I can't make our date because my probation officer will not let me leave the house." While it will get you out of a date it will also likely get you out of any other romantic prospects as well once words gets out about this little problem. If by chance you really do have to be on house arrest it is better to be up-front and honest with the girl before asking her out so it does not appear as though you are trying to hide anything.
