The 5th Annual Great Santa Run in Las Vegas December 5 Attempts to Set a New Record

Get your running shoes on and join the largest collection of Santa's in one place for the 2009 Great Santa Run. This years Grand Marshal will be Nascar driver and Las Vegas Native Kurt Busch. The Kurt Busch Foundation and Golden Gaming, the parent company of PT's Pubs are the title sponsors of the event benefiting Opportunity Village.

Opportunity Village is a non-profit charity that was established in 1954 it assists people with intellectual disabilities. The main goal of the charity is to give people with disabilities the opportunity to learn a job and live independent lives. They are Nevada's largest provider of vocational, employment advocacy and social programs.

The event this year is moving to Town Square. The entry fee is $35 for participants 13 and older and $25 for 12 and under . Registration the day of the event is $45 for all participants. All proceeds will directly benefit Opportunity Village and the adults they serve. Registration closes at noon on December 4th. You can visit any local PT's Tavern or Sierra Gold location in Las Vegas and register today! Hold onto your receipt and use it to pick up your Santa suit as the event gets closer. Your registration includes a new 5 piece Santa suit.

Your registration fee includes a brand new 5-piece Santa suit and gifts including a ticket to the 2009 season of Magical Forest at Opportunity Village. You can raise even more funds for Opportunity Village by collecting pledges. There will be prizes for pledge collection...so start getting pledges and you could be a lucky winner

You can pick up your packets at the following locations:

November 28th at Sierra Gold - 1341 W. Warm Springs from 11am - 6pm

November 28th at Sierra Gold - 6929 Aliante Pkwy from 11am - 6pm

December 1st at Sierra Gold - 6515 S. Jones Rd from 2pm - 8pm

December 2nd at Sierra Gold - 6515 S. Jones Rd from 2pm - 8pm

Or at Opportunity Village:

Sunday, November 29th from 11am - 4pm

Monday, November 30th through Friday, December 4th from 10am - 4pm

If you are coming from out of town and cannot pick up your Santa suit at any of our predetermined locations, you can pick up your Santa suit the morning of the event at the Santa suit pickup tables near the late registration booths, starting at 8:00am. Arrive early so you don't have to wait in line.
