This is the leading media network on the internet. Here you can find just about any information you are looking for. The panel of 'content producers' is always growing, therefore the content itself is always expanding.
To be a content producer for Associated Content costs you absolutely nothing. It is free! Of course you will need a paypal account to receive payment... but you will need an account at paypal if you want to freelance write for any website.

There are a vast amount of topics for you to publish content on at Associated Content, and you should always stick to writing about what you know about. If you are a single, working mom you could not write good advice for stay at home moms. Stick to your area of expertise, and produce helpful articles for Associated Content and you can expect to get paid $3-$10 per article!
The reason Associated Content is the best website you can write and get paid for is because there is a more open market. You can write several types of articles, where as other sites are strictly reviews or tutorials. Associated Content also pays more consistently and the pay is always better at Associated Content.

The second best website you can write and get paid for is definitely for those who don't need the money. Where Associated Content will pay within 2 weeks after making an offer on a submission, Constant Content does not.
In fact, Constant Content does not make an offer at all. This is a website where you can post your articles and set your own selling price. Websites can buy your article for usage or for full rights, and if you are not submitting something that has been listed as requested content than it can be quite a wait for your article to be bought at all.
The editors can be pretty tough at Constant Content, so this is not a website for beginning freelance writers. The only good thing is that this website makes it more possible to be paid $50 or more for an article (if it is appropriate) than any other website for freelance writers.

The rest of these "get-paid-to-write websites" are not listed in any particular order. The best two sites have already been mentioned, and while the rest are good sites to write for... none are any better than the others and none can compare to either of the previously mentioned.
Epinions is a place for you to share your opinion on products, movies, etc. Basically, you are writing a review to help others... potential consumers... and your content is limited to those reviews. While this is certainly not a website to write for if you are hoping to make some money... this is a website that does pay you for your opinion. The pay is very small, however there are often promotions and bonuses on a monthly basis.
An example of this promotion would be if you submit 10 or more reviews that are rated as helpful or better, you will get paid $1 per article. Epinions pays via check in the mail, so no paypal account is necessary.. but you can not request to be paid until you have earned $10 or more. With Epinions, it could take a month or longer to earn $10, so this is certainly a nice way to add extra earnings to what you are making, but nothing close to an actual income like you could receive at Associated Content.
ReviewMe is actually a better way to write reviews and be paid for it. Please understand that with Epinions you will be giving your opinion as a consumer, where with ReviewMe you will be writing 'sponsored reviews'. This site does pay pretty well, once you are in good with them, but there are some things you must know.
First, you have to be better than a beginner with freelance writing online. You are not writing a review that will be published on this website... you will be writing a review on your website, which has to have a certain number of page views before they will accept it. You can use a personal blog, or even another site like Associated Content, although your submission for this review should be for non-payment since it is a sponsored review and you have to disclose that.
The difference is that with a sponsored review, a company or website is paying you to review their product or service. With ReviewMe you will usually be reviewing a website that fits the topic you usually write about. It works for you because you are paid by the website to review them, and it works for both the website and your readers because they are of the same interest.

EHow is another great website where you can share advice and be paid a little bit, depending mainly on how helpful your input is rated by others. Just like Epinions is a great place to look if you are considering buying a digital camera and want to do a little research, EHow is where you would go if you want to learn how to do something. This website is strictly 'how to guides' for helping others, and if you have something to share you absolutely should!
Again, I would not recommend this as a way to make money, but if you do enjoy writing or if you do have advice to share in a how-to form then your submission should being in a little money, shouldn't it?

Finally, there is Helium. Once again this is not a site you want to write for the sole purpose of making money. The best way to describe Helium is to call it a forum, where members can post topics in a large variety of channels and either begin or enter a discussion by writing an article on that topic. Your article is rated by members as well, and quite simply the more helpful your article is, the higher it is rated... the more you will be paid.
This could be the difference between your article paying one cent or ten cents. However, your article continuously generates money, everytime it is rated higher than another article in the same topic. (The rating involves reading article A and article B then choosing which you prefer.)

No matter what website(s) you write for, the best thing you can do to start is sign up for your free Paypal account because you can make money just by writing and you will need that free Paypal account to receive your earnings!

Post a CommentThere is a great new website I just started writing for that seems to be on the top of their game. They do require more trusted articles and resources from highly trusted websites. I seems like they are trying to get higher quality articles and resources, and not just mass amounts of content farm type stuff and they also pay 50-70% rev share, which from what I have seen writing for other sites is the highest around. The website is http://www.thefreeresource.com. They have an application process and are selective on who they allow to write for them. Anyway just thought I would let everyone know just in case anyone was looking for a quality site to write for.
Very nice list I would also add a new site called thefreeresource.com to the list.
HI Caryn,
I'm new to your site , although I have looked at
many others, yours is really different, plenty info,
I took notes, I'll be back,
Sonny
To start with I am new to content writing, but the best part is that I could write about almost everything.Being an engineer and MBA graduate I have the all the necessary skill sets, just an opportunity required!! Contact me Abhijit36@gmail.com
Okay, with PayPal, how is your content paid...is it via a Credit Card credit? I'm a dummy in this area. How about fees if you are paid through PayPal? Naturally a little extra retirement income would be appreciated and naturally I want to get paid.
Of all of these websites, I believe AC is the best. However, I just signed up for Constant-Content today and submitted an article, so I will have to see how that goes.
Also, you can claim or suggest a maximum of 10 articles to start with and this amount may increase with time if you submit your articles on time (they have due dates) and write often. Oh, and once you start writing for Demand Studios, the quality and amount of articles you submit can either raise your $15 starting payment or lower it. For example, if you write quality articles often, they will raise your payment to $20. If you rarely write and your articles aren't high quality, they may lower it to $5. However, you can always bring it back up with quality writing and writing often.
If you write through Demand Studios instead of directly through E-How, you make a starting amount of $15 per article. Of course, through Demand Studios you must go through an application process where you submit your writing samples and resume, but it's all worth it. Upon approval, you can begin writing. Articles generally take 2-5 days to get reviewed and then 3 more days to transfer to your PayPal account. Demand Studios requires all rights to your articles but they are all published on E-How under your desired username.
I want to join in associated content but I am not US citizen, can I make money in this site? I mean , payment not based with CPM for my article..
Thanks
It takes too long for and article to get approved and posted, for me anyway. That included and exclusive that I waited over 3 days to get posted and it still wasn't posted, therefore, I deleted my account. I didn't realize it took so long to get approved.
