The 7 Performance Principles that Govern and Guarantee Succcess!

A Life-changing Series

Milton C. Jordan,Sr.
Two months before the 68th anniversary of my birth, according to the official record, I feel better than I have throughout my life. I operate a successful home business that I've named The World Ahead Economic Empire. I am building an automated business system that uses computer technology, including the Internet, to reach prospects, customers and business partners worldwide. I market a home business operating system that guarantees to help anyone who uses it to build a foundation for home business success.

Yet, in many ways, I am the least likely candidate to achieve success, to be happy and to be looking forward to an outstanding future that extends beyond my wildest imagination. To learn details about the path I traveled to get here just read other articles I've posted at AC. In summary, consider the following: My birth mother and father were not married when I was born, and to my knowledge they never married. When I was about nine days old, my mother gave me to the Durham County Welfare Department in North Carolina and disappeared from my life. I started stealing when I was six, dropped out of school at 16 and went to prison for the first time the following year. After spending all but about 22 months of the 1960s in prison, I was released on Dec. 9, 1968. Therefore, this December marks the 42nd anniversary of my release. Ironically, I went to prison for the first time in December 1959, 51 years ago. In December 1961, just two months into my 19th year, God revealed Himself to me. Thus, I celebrate the 49th anniversary of that relationship this December as well.

Yet in this series of articles, I will not discuss religion in the traditional sense of the word. Neither is this series of articles strictly autobiographical, though most, if not all, of the examples reflect personal experiences. Rather, I want to share with you a set of workable principles, laws of life that deliver outstanding outcomes for everyone who aligns themselves with these principles.

Overall, I've targeted this series for the following four audiences: the "ism" victims, the irresponsible, The peons of obstacles, and and the victims of negative influences. Each of us know individuals in those categories of life. For example, the "victims of isms" refer to individuals who blame their failures on racism, sexism, ageism, or some other paradigm they believe forms an impregnable barrier to success. The irresponsibility tag describes those individuals who believe that they cannot conquer the consequences of their mistakes, bad choices and destructive decisions. The "obstacles group" cower behind current circumstances, critical conditions and stultifying situations to explain, even justify personal failure. The "influences group" refers to individuals who blame their failures on misguidance, mis-education and mis-direction from others.

Like you, I know dozens, even scores, of individuals in all of these "groups," but probably, unlike you, I've spent years of my life living through each of these groups. Yet in this series, I will not share the pain because the cliche rings true: no pain, no gain. Rather, I will focus exclusively on the seven powerful performance principles of success. I describe those principles this way:

Get started

Develop a powerful philosophy for your life's ventures

Become and remain teachable and coach-able

Master systems and process thinking

Learn to work S.M.A.R.T.

Love to work hard

Resolve to never quit

In this series, I will discuss each of these principles in detail, demonstrating how I learned to apply them in my life. I also hope to show you how you can align with these principles as well.

See you at the top!
