Yogurt
Eating a serving of yogurt a day has been proven to protect against certain types of cancers. For your weight loss, yogurt works as a probiotic and helps with your digestive health. Plus, it great tastes and can easily fit into any type of diet. Mix it up. Add fruits and grains to vanilla yogurt for breakfast or use plain yogurt for the base for some of your dips and salad dressings.
Carrots
Beta carotene (which carrots are high in) not only benefits your weight, but also your beauty. Your body turns it into Vitamin A, that aids in the renewal and regeneration of new hair, skin and nails cells. Carrots are also a great source of carotenoids, which aids in the prevention of asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. You can eat them as a snack or add them to your salad.

The best way to lose weight healthily is to provide your body with the right amount of fats, proteins, sugars, and carbs. When trying to lose weight, it is always good to get your recommended daily allowance of Omega 3s. Walnuts are one of the highest food sources of Omega 3s out there. Walnuts also carry much needed protein and anti-inflammatory polyphenols. You can eat walnuts with anything, so they are easily incorporated into your daily meal plan. Sprinkle them in your cereal or yogurt in the morning, or have a handful for a mid afternoon snack.
Blueberries
My gastrointestinal doctor once informed me that I should be eating blueberries everyday. He said that there isn't anything out there that will work better as a natural antioxidant. Blueberries are also an excellent source of fiber and vitamins A and C. You can get 3 out of 8 of your super foods in one meal by adding fresh blueberries and walnuts or granola to your morning yogurt.
Spinach
Getting Omega 3s are essential for building muscles, which burns more calories than fat. Spinach is not only rich in omega 3s, but also in folate and lutein. Green leafy vegetables are good for building up the metabolism, improving the thyroid, and the health of hair, skin and nails. I make sure to add fresh spinach to my lunchtime salads, or eat it for dinner as one of my vegetables. Not only is it beneficial for your weight loss goals, spinach also fights against heart disease, osteoporosis, strokes and sexual dysfunctions.
Tomatoes
Tomatoes offer lycopene (an antioxidant) that fights against certain cancers. It is always best to eat red tomatoes because they pack a heftier punch. If you are like me and don't really like fresh tomatoes, processed tomatoes are just as good. So, when you are eating ketchup or that red sauce on your pasta, you know that you are doing something good for your body.
