The Ability to Love

Love makes the world go round, so the saying goes. The said statement may sound familiar and simple but once its truth is realized, it will create an impression of how powerful love must be. However, before anyone can realize the power of love, it is necessary to acquire the proper understanding of the meaning and nature of love. Once done, it will lead to the discovery that love indeed is the true power that moves all creation and the good news is that every man has been endowed with the ability to love.

Religion and philosophies may differ in their respective beliefs and practices. Nevertheless they are united in the belief that love alone can lead to salvation and eternal life. Apostle Paul emphasized in his teachings that even if man will die to justify his belief, yet his action is in vain if he will do it just for a show and without love.

There are countless definitions to describe what is love, but the most common and acceptable of them all, is the description that God is love.

In this modern times when man is so busy with his endless activities and the world is mesmerized with technology and science, the real meaning of love has almost been forgotten, if not disregarded. Yet it is obvious that when problems and difficulties are encountered by man, and the right solution seems impossible to find, man in his despair will always realize that his ability to love will always point him to the right path in life.

The ability to love always saves man from his consternation and leads him to peace. It is the ability we all have and once properly practiced, this ability can lead anyone one to a happy and perfect life.
