The Absolute Best Hair Conditioners: Homemade and Store Bought

DiamondJewelSpiritHeaven
Hair conditioners have become a huge market these days. They have always been popular sellers; but, the market has grown by leaps and bounds recently. This is because there has been much research and consumer education about the ingredients in hair conditioners that can truly lead to hair health.

In addition there has been an increase in consumer knowledge about natural and homemade methods of self care that have brought about the use of products that can sometimes be better than what can be purchased in the store. Hair conditioners are no longer just bottles of goop and grease anymore. Hair conditioners are products that increase hair strength and prevent breakage; therefore retaining length and allowing you to reach your hair goals much faster.

Infusium Leave-In Hair Conditioner: is one of my favorite products. I have had many years of experience with Infusium Leave-In Hair Conditioner. I first decided to try it on a whim. There were some commercials out there that said, "Infusium is the leave-in I believe in." I honestly thought it might be some junk; but I decided to try it just to be sure. The models and actresses that spoke on the commercial had conditioned, strong, thick, healthy looking hair; so I figured, why not?

It was my experience that my hair always looked nice when using Infusium; but I had no frame of reference because I had gone from natural to relaxed hair and had never used Infusium on my natural hair. My good results could've just been attributed to my relaxer.

What I did notice when I tried to go without it, was that my hair was in terrible shape when I stopped using Infusium. I don't know if my hair became addicted to the conditioner or attached to it in some way; or if my hair was in that shape to start with. What I do know is that I don't want to see my hair without Infusium ever again. My styles don't fall right and my hair just doesn't look as healthy.

I also did considerable damage over the years on top of my relaxer with colors and heat. For the most part, my hair stayed very resilient until the end. Towards then end I tried to make my hair really red; and was using a ceramic flat iron; and Pantene colors shampoo and conditioners--instead of Creme of Nature Conditioning Shampoo like I'd used for years.

My hair finally broke off after that. But, Infusium was with me through highlights, brown hair colors, wet sets, and moderate curling iron and flat iron usage before the red escapade. My hair grew in at a good rate; and got shoulder length before I started doing the major damage. Now I just have a mild texturizer; and don't intend to color again except maybe with tea. I still use Infusium Leave-In Conditioner each time I wash.

Glycerin and Water Leave-In Hair Conditioner: You can buy glycerin from any drug store . Put it in a spray bottle with water, and you have a great hair conditioner. Sometimes I mix glycerin in with my conditioner or conditioning shampoo to make it a really rich hair conditioner. Sometimes I mix glycerin in with other good stuff I've got around the house like aloe vera and mayonnaisse etc. to make a deep conditioner.

When making a leave-in hair conditioner; mix 1 - 3 tablespoons in a cup of water. Some people use a half water; half glycerin. But many people find this too sticky to use as a hair conditioner. Whichever mixture you use; just put it in a spray bottle; shake it up and spray it in your hair.

Hask Placenta Leave-In Hair Conditioner: You can get this at most beauty supply stores and many drug stores. It is important to note that his product comes from an animal source of protein. It is an excellent hair conditioner though. It is protein so it does rebuild the hair shaft. I couldn't use it when I had a relaxer because it was so strong that when I used it; it made my hair look greasy and thin. It wasn't greasy, but that's how strong the conditioning was.

Egg Yolks n' Stuff Rinse-Out Hair Conditioner: If you don't have the money for the Hask Placenta you can make a good conditioner out of egg yolks, aloe vera, glycerin, water and some essential oil drops of lavender, basil or rosemary. Be sure to keep the mixture cool so that you don't start to cook the egg yolks before you put the conditioner in your hair. Also make sure you rinse it from your hair with cool water as well so you don't have cooked egg clinging to your hair when you're done conditioning.
