I have a difficult time keeping weight on me due to being chronically ill and having a very high metabolism. Being on the Depo shot also did not help, as it made me gain more weight than was normal for me. While the weight was a good thing, since I normally look Anorexic, though, I'm not by any means, it caused there to be stretch marks on my skin. I enjoyed all of the compliments that I received on my figure, as it was more filled out; however, I did not like the day that one of my girlfriends told me that there was stretch marks on the backs of my thighs. When she mentioned the stretch marks, I asked her to look the rest of me over (I'm blind and cannot see, so I asked for my friend who can see to do this.). She said that there were none elsewhere, which was good to know, but my mind instantly went into a whirlwind, thinking about how I can get rid of the stretch marks the quickest.
First, I tried Cocoa Butter. I remembered my mom doing this when she was pregnant with my siblings. As a matter of fact, I used to be the one to rub the stuff on her stomach and thighs. While it worked for her, it did not work for me. I tried that for a month, but when I went back to ask my friend about it, she said that she did not notice any difference. Goodness was I mad!
I then resorted to using Vitamin E lotion. I tried that for a little while. It did make my skin soft, and it helped a bit, but the stretch marks were not gone completely. After doing some thinking, I wondered if rubbing straight Vitamin E onto the areas where the stretch marks were would do any difference. It did help, but my friend said that she could still notice them, and that if I wore a bathing suit, others could see them from far off.
After months of trying several things and only getting half the results I hoped for, I got online and started doing some searching. One product that I came across was Mederma Stretch Marks therapy Lotion. I found it on Drugstore.com for $39.99 and thought that if it were more expensive than the other things that I've tried-the Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E lotion, and the straight Vitamin E were all under $7, it might actually be something that worked completely. Since I was about to consider laser surgery for my stretch marks, which would have cost me much more than the Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy Lotion, I thought that I'd spend the money and purchase the product. After all, the cost was a drop in the bucket compared to the surgical alternative I was considering; so, I thought, "what the heck" and purchased the Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy Lotion.
When I received it, I was a bit skeptical. I will admit that I was half expecting to be disappointed; however, to my amazement, I was won over. In just a little over a month's time, I'd say about six weeks, I noticed astounding improvements! My skin was much softer-not that it really needed to be because I have baby soft skin already, but it felt awesome to me, and what do you know? My stretch marks were gone, and so was any skin discoloration where they had been! When I asked my friend to take a look, she was astonished and even considered trying Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy Lotion for herself.
If you have terrible stretch marks, Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy Lotion is the best stretch mark removal solution. Keep in mind, though, that results will differ depending on how bad the stretch marks are, and the results will also depend on the condition of your skin. NO matter the situation you find yourself in, it is guaranteed that you will see very noticeable improvement in four weeks time. In addition, your skin will look and refreshed and hydrated, and it will possess a glow that you never thought possible
