8. Presenter of the evening and star of SherryBaby, the back to brunette star looked stunning in a Proenza Schouler, dark blue one shouldered gown. Sparkly black accents went across the chest and waist. Gyllenhaal wore her hair wavy and in a messy bun. The most interesting part of this piece was the bottom of the dress which was covered in black feathers.. Red lipstick and some small, diamond hoops completed this ensemble.
7. First time Oscar winner tonight, Jennifer Hudson showed up to the red carpet looking fabulously trendy. Her hair was feathered and curled, to one side. She wore a brown, long, flowing dress with hidden front pockets. A metallic, gold toned jacket was worn with the dress and her make-up was done to match. Fun, trendy, and chic were the words of the evening for Miss Hudson.
6. Jessica Biel; talk about working it! A shift away from the norm, she went for a hot pink gown that showed off her amazing physique. She wore a small black belt at the waist and a black hand bag. Her hair was worn curly and pulled back into a tight bun. Funky, fun, and hot!
5. Simple, elegant, and very sophisticated, Penelope Cruz wowed everyone with her soft pink-champagne colored Versace gown. The top was fitted and strapless, the bottom was all feathers dyed to match.. She had a diamond bracelet on as well as big, clustered diamond earrings. The perfect look for this world class actress.
4. One of my favorites of the evening was Kirsten Dunst. She wore a Chanel couture gown and it was breathtaking. It was long and straight until you got to the bottom where it literally feathered out. The top was sheer and like a polo shirt at the neck. It had metallic silver slivers on the mesh and the color was a silvery mint. She paired a funky, gold bracelet, gold metallic bag, red lipstick, and straight across bangs with this ensemble. Vintage and fashion forward.
3. Not much can be said about this next fashionista but perfection. Nicole Kidman was a pure vision in red. The designer unknown, she dawned a long, red beautifully simplistic gown with a giant bow that tied at the neck in the back going the length of the dress. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her as her hair was long, straight, and to one side. This woman is not only sophisticated, but timeless.
2. Oscar winner of the evening for her role in The Queen, Helen Mirren wore one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen. Vintage and extremely couture, this piece by Christian Lapua was amazing. It was a creme color with gold-ish accents, lace on top, tons of detail and long sleeves. It had a V-Neck and a jewel in the middle of the back. Her make-up matched perfectly and the whole outfit from start to finish could not have impressed me more. What a winner!
1. Drum role please...J-Lo! A little unexpected because its kind of hit and miss with Miss Lopez, tonight was definitely a winner! From the moment she stepped onto the carpet, the whole place was buzzing. The dress, by Marcazia, was long, flowing and had strings of large jewels across the neck and one under the bust. Teared diamond earrings were worn to match this Greek-styled gown. The color was a light plumb/gray and offset Jennifer's glowing, tan skin perfectly. Her hair was a rich brown with honey highlights, curled and between her shoulder and her chin. Accessories were an over-sized ring and a round, shiny handbag. Bravo, Jen! You are this years best dressed!
It was a night of glam, glitz, and lots of metallic's. Hopefully you'll agree, these ladies were winners in the world of fashion this night.
