A juicer is not the same as a blender. A juicer is designed to extract fluid from the fibers of fruits and vegetables. Many are concerned about not getting enough fiber when juicing. Although fiber is low in nutrition it is necessary for proper digestion and elimination. Juicing should be taken to supplement a diet rich in high-fiber vegetables, fruits and whole grains.
The Acme juicer is a high-speed juicer that that spins the fruit or vegetables in a stainless steel basket that separates the juice from the pulp. The pulp remains in the basket and the juice is extracted through a stainless steel spout to a cup or other container.
The Acme has a large feeder tube to accommodate whole carrots and larger pieces of fruits or vegetables. It is very powerful and extracts a high yield of juice that is virtually pulp free. The juicer comes apart easily for removal of pulp and cleaning, and it can be washed in the automatic dishwasher.

Post a CommentI've been thinking about getting a juicer, Thanks. Sarge is a cutey too. :)
I need to get one of these especially since you've listed some great recipes.
I may have to break down and buy one of these finally! I trust your review, so maybe it is time! :)
Good suggestion and review.
Never had the desire to do this, maybe I should give it a try!
My Acme Juicer is from the 1960s and still going strong! They're probably the very best juicers on the market and produce the highest quality result! Great review!
When I first got married, one of our gifts was this blender. It had everything from juicer to chopper. Sadly, when we divorced and I moved back to Michigan it got lost. I never replaced it, and always say I will. Someday.
We've yet to purchase a juicer - but I would love to give it a go! cheers :)
