After he went on and on about his cleaner and making various random bad jokes in between, I spoke up to say we have no credit cards, no money, and am not interested, even if we were the wonderful economy would keep us from buying it. He looked around the house as my husband stood with him at our entry way saying goodbye and good luck. He quickly gathered his things, after his 20 minute stay, and headed out. I immediately after his departure got a bad feeling, as my husband put our baby to bed I went online to look up this "Wonder Cleaner" and it's company, and what I found made me call the police. I found thousands of criminal reports on these salesman mainly from wiping out peoples bank accounts when they were giving a check or card for payment, as well as several thefts and robberies. Even some rape and a murder was found, they prey on the innocent.
I called the police and was informed they would keep an eye out, however, sad but true they cannot arrest anyone till something is done. They had received several calls already about these men and women going door to door acting extra suspicious, and some unlucky elderly people have already given them checks. Earlier I mentioned he was African American, the relevance in that is in doing further research I found out they are a racist company, every single one of the door to door salespeople were African American, it kind of stood out in a prominently white and Hispanic town. The headquarters for this company refuses to hire anyone white according to several complaints and their records.
So going to bed paranoid every night seeing how I have an infant, is not so much fun. Waiting with a sword close by the door just in case they did decide to get their money worth on our home. I later ran across an article that was sent out by the Attorney General Hardy Myers of Oregon. He warned about these door-to-door salespeople who sell magazines and cleaning products and that many engage in unlawful behaviors such as selling illegal drugs, using false names, theft, rape, and more. Myers stated that this specific companies traveling salespeople was one of the worst authorities have ever had to deal with, with complaints of illegal activities resulting in citations and arrests.
The company known as T & B Sales sends out their salespeople from Illinois on bus tickets to other states only in the month of April, they call it the "Spring Advantage". The best thing to do when any aggressive salesperson comes to your home is not answer the door, better just speak through it and say you are not interested. If another adult is with you and you really want to hear what they have to say stand firmly at the door and open it to hear the pitch, get their name and company within the first minute of them being there along with what they are selling and the price. Always make sure whatever you buy has a contract and check the customer service number first. Cash is always best to use if you get the product right then and there, otherwise why risk it at all. If you feel odd about the encounter don't be afraid to look the company they are with up as well as call your local police. I for one don't answer the door when any salespeople arrive now unless it is a girl scout.

Post a CommentI was looking to re-order after running out of Advange recently ... a couple years ago a polite African American women came by my house when I was working in the yard and I think I paid $20 cash for the bottle, she was pushy as all sales persons are but polite and demonstrated the cleaning ability on some items in my front yard ... I use this stuff alot especially to clean up the counters and table, its very concentrated so it lasted me a long time, and I like that its non-toxic ... bottom line I'm glad I bought the product even though I hate all door to door salespeople ... they sell it on Amazon and other websites, check out the reviews, I was happy with it ...
Btw the product is awesome. It's the only thing that gets the grime out of my kitchen floors and counters. very easily also.
I ordered from a very nice african american man who also had me fill out a invoice that let me recessed if i changed my mind in 3 days. He never even came into my house and I haven't had any other charges on my account since the $36.95. I'm sorry you feel that way.
Wow, I'm so sorry JenniLee, that you had such a negative experience. Aproximately 15 months ago my husband purchased a quart of this cleaner from one of these "unsavory African American" sales people as you describe them, and the sale was actually a most pleasant experience. He was very courteous and thorough in explaining what the product can do and not do for that matter ...lol and no, he didn't consume any of it...and the only reason I'm here discussing it 15 months later is the quart my husband purchased has finally run out and I was looking to order some more!
I have to vouch for this product. I've never seen anything like it. No one has to take my word for it and I'm not trying to sell anything. I'm just a consumer. This product cleans like NOTHING I've ever used before and it's so concentrated you only need to use it in small dilutions. I don't think it's fair that I've seen so many people so far, knock this product on these boards without giving it a shot just because the sales people 'rub you the wrong way' or dare I say it? The sales people are the wrong 'color'? I'm telling you, try the product! It's called Advanage. I swear I'll never knock myself out scrubbing down those darn bathroom tiles again! And don't even get me started with how it shines up my kitchen marble. Don't bother with the obnoxious sales people if that's the problem. Just google it, try it and see for yourself.
As for the ugly racist remarks I noticed here from some of you, including the original poster, sorry but I say shame on you.
My husband and I bought this product and i absolutly LOVE it. Every business in this world can have thieves, rapest or do drugs. I am a Bail Bondsman and I see every type of profession have troubled people, from your salesman up to Doctors and Lawyers. You can not single out door to door salesman. The majority of them are just people out trying to make a living. Singling out the company surprises me that you have not been sued for Slander... Again, I love this product and I would buy it again if they came back to my house.
They are in Vancouver, Washington now.
The same thing happened to me today, fast talking black man came to the door trying to sell this cleaner and asking a whole lot of personal questions, it made me pretty nervous. I said I'd have to talk to my husband and asked if he could give me a website to visit he got really pushy,"When I finally got him to leave I looked up organic cleaning product scams and this is what popped up, its the same crap that he was trying to peddle on me.
advanage the wonder cleaner the only thing i wonder is where do they find these rodeo clowns to work o yeah craiglist rft adds LOL
...i actully sell a product its called the orange advantage we dont hire people over the phone we do sell it door to door as well as homeshows flea markets and festivals advanage though is a black owned and operated company they only hire black peopl i know black sales reps that thinks thats weird . if there was a company that hired only white people i would also have no desire to work there neither. we have an excellent product its really ashame that these scams are out here making all cleaner companies look so bad !!
The sales people are not all African American. I had a white young man. Yes they are your typical desperate sales people but the product is safe and the best cleaner I have ever used. You can buy in on ebay with no hassel. You didnt really need to even point out THEY were African American . THEY are people. Maybe irritating sales people but people all the same.
When I was fresh out of high school I got wrapped up in a door to door sales scheme - it was framed art prints. I lasted a week at that job - I was supposed to close the sale at ANY cost, no matter how bad the lying got. The "training" went against everything I had been raised to be and the other salespeople in the organization were dirtbags. The stories I've read about folks encountering Advantage Wonder Cleaner salespeople fits the mold of what I was exposed to spot-on. I have a simple rule at home: If I'm not expecting company, I don't approach the front door when someone knocks or rings the bell. If someone decides to be persistent, I might arm myself and surprise them from behind (unless it's a child of course). My property, my rules.
i just had a black man sell me one but i paid cash..wish i didnt answer the door cuz now i dont have 39 bucks but i guess it works, just dont pay check or debit, the man said he even do food stamps his name is Diamond west and his info NO is 350240
