Dominique Williams
Attending college can be a big decision for many people. Choosing to go to college can cause financial strain in the beginning, but once you graduate and get that high paying job, your college debts will be soon paid off and forgotten. There are many reasons why so many people choose not to go to college such as not being able to handle it financially, thinking college is too hard, or not being too sure what direction they want to go in life. I believe that these feelings are normal when trying to make that big college decision, but you should not allow it to actually prevent you from going. Are you facing a decision on whether or not to attend college? If so, read my list of the advantages of attending college.

Advantage #1: You will acquire knowledge.

As a college student, I find that I learn way more than I did in high school. College teaches you things that high school is not even permitted to teach. You not only learn about the world in general, but you also learn about yourself. You will learn time management skills, organizational skills, and money management. You will also become confident and knowledgeable in almost every subject. What you learn in college will most likely stick with you for the rest of your life.

Advantage #2: You have an opportunity to intern where you desire.

Usually in your junior or senior year of college, you get the opportunity to set up an internship related to your major. Not only will this give you a bit of experience in your field, but you will most likely be able to easily find a job upon graduation.

Advantage #3: You make many friends.

During your college journey, you will make many friends. Many friendships that you make in college will be long-lasting. They may be professional relationships or personal relationships. Either way, it will greatly benefit you.

Advantage #4: Higher paying job upon graduation.

Once you graduate and have that college degree, you will be able to easily get a job in your desired field. Even though the economy is a bit tough right now, there are still jobs out there to be found. Just seek and you will find.

These advantages should be able to help you make a decision about whether or not to attend college. College is a very important time in a person's life. Do not decide to miss out on this wonderful experience. Begin researching colleges TODAY!
