Advantage #1: You will acquire knowledge.
As a college student, I find that I learn way more than I did in high school. College teaches you things that high school is not even permitted to teach. You not only learn about the world in general, but you also learn about yourself. You will learn time management skills, organizational skills, and money management. You will also become confident and knowledgeable in almost every subject. What you learn in college will most likely stick with you for the rest of your life.
Advantage #2: You have an opportunity to intern where you desire.
Usually in your junior or senior year of college, you get the opportunity to set up an internship related to your major. Not only will this give you a bit of experience in your field, but you will most likely be able to easily find a job upon graduation.
Advantage #3: You make many friends.
During your college journey, you will make many friends. Many friendships that you make in college will be long-lasting. They may be professional relationships or personal relationships. Either way, it will greatly benefit you.
Advantage #4: Higher paying job upon graduation.
Once you graduate and have that college degree, you will be able to easily get a job in your desired field. Even though the economy is a bit tough right now, there are still jobs out there to be found. Just seek and you will find.
