The Age Old Saying "A Happy Wife Equals a Happy Wife"

It's an age old saying but it so true. A happy wife equals a happy wife. If you truly want to have peace as the man of your house you must make sure your wife is happy as well. While there are no guarantees, there are some things you can do to help make to try to make your wife happy. This ultimately will lead to your happiness as well.

Put her desires first.

We all know that women sometimes want the world. While you probably can't give her everything she wants, a good husband learns to but his wife's desires first. This doesn't mean you will buy or do everything for her she wants but it means you will do everything you can. Let me tell you, there will be lots of times you just don't understand why something is so important to her. But try to do or buy these things for her anyway.

Learn to sacrifice.

This idea goes along with the first. If you are a man memorize the word sacrifice. It will mean a much happier life for you. Perhaps it is going to the movie that she wants instead of yours. Perhaps it's eating at the restaurant she wants. Every man knows that the wife is supposed to drive the best car. Yet another sacrifice the man will have to do. These might seem like small things but if you're keeping your wife happy, she will be in good spirits and as a result you will be happier.

Become a good listener.

Women love to talk. There is a certain fulfillment they get from doing it. Every man has experience the woman who comes home from work or is at home as soon as you get home and she is ready to talk. Most of the time a woman just wants someone to listen. I often find myself listening to my wife talk and nodding, saying "Yes dear." I think it means a lot to her just to know your listening. Not that you have to have an answer or solution for every problems she has, just simply listen to what she has to say.

Treat her like a lady.

Hopefully chivalry is not dead. Women love to be treated just like that, a woman. Weather it is opening a door, holding out her chair or any of a number of other nice deed's. A woman's esteem goes up and you will be surprised how much effect just one of these simple deeds can do.

If your wife is happy, you can bet you will be happy.

Doing simple things like keeping her desires first and making simple sacrifices will keep her in a good mood. If she's in a good mood she will treat you and your family great. Your home will be a pleasant place to live.
