She told you she loved you; her voice, can you hear it?
She defended your honor and stood by your side
In awe of your smallest achievements, she burst with pride
She taught you of life, the best that she could
Knowing you didn't always understand and maybe never would
She allowed you to explore, but sheltered you from harm
All the while building you up to fed your ego with her charm
You grew up to become the strong people that you are
You move forward with your lives, whether living near or far
How many times does she come to mind?
Do you cherish and worship her, treating her kind
Do not take for granted the moments you have left
Before God makes his call and she is placed to rest.
