It ended up that Tammy/Victor landed on the same flight as the last few teams, could they suffer the Romber curse? Guess the airport drama is back as the first quarter is all about the planes. Victoria and Brad's flight was canceled, thanks to fog, putting them a full day behind. Finally in Romania the other teams raced on and were off to the gymnastic Road Block. One team member would have to learn four gymnastics moves in order to move on and it was bound to be hilarious. Amanda was up first and did rather well. Margie had some issues though, since Luke wouldn't wear a leotard but Mike would. Amanda/Kris were the first off to their next location but the other somehow caught up. They found that their train wouldn't leave until the morning, allowing the others a chance to catch up and forcing them to sleep on the streets.
With the other teams arriving in Romania, minus Brad and Victoria, it was time for them to get their gymnastics on. Tammy/Victor made their first mistake of the night by missing the entrance but everyone else found it ok. Everyone seemed to do well on the four events but Tammy. She was stressed from being behind and I'm sure Victor wasn't happy either. Following the Road Block everyone headed off to the train station where the first placers were waiting. Well Tammy/Victor weren't off just yet as Tammy couldn't get the floor routine right, no thanks to Victor of course. When the train finally opened there was still no sign of Brad and Victoria. On the train Jaime/Cara became fast friends with Luke, forming the first alliance. Not sure if the mother agrees though.
After landing off the train everyone raced for a taxi and it led to a foot race. Their clue was to head to a Black Church which all seemed to have no trouble finding. Their next Detour was up and they had to choose between moving items for a gypsy family or transport a coffin and find a hidden flag. With everyone off picking their Detour, Brad and Victoria FINALLY arrived. We quickly get switched back to the Detour though where most of the teams chose gypsy moves. Mel and Mike had some issues with the physical aspect considering they actually had to build their cart. Amanda and Kris didn't have much trouble though as they proved themselves to be competitors for once. Back in the taxi's Jaime and Cara were having issues with their taxi. Their new found alliance members got hurt from the trouble as well, as Luke and Margie trailed behind the lost taxi cab.
Tammy/Victor and some trouble as well as they followed red and white markers, instead of the common red and yellow ones. The blondes didn't have any trouble though, for once, as they found the coffin task without any problems. Margie/Luke and Jaime/Cara had no issues as well, proving the Harvard siblings weren't as smart as I once thought. Back over at the gypsy task Amanda/Kris finished first but lost their fanny pack. We all know what happened to Dallas last season but hopefully they won't fall into the same demise. With the lost fanny pack the other teams were able to pass Amanda/Kris who began to freak out. Tammy also began to freak out as Victor wouldn't listen to her, considering she was right. Amanda was right as well, and the two finally found the fanny pack. Sending them off to Phil and giving them second place behind Mel and Mike who took first step onto the mat.
Back on the mountain Tammy and Victor continued their demise as they bickered about continuing on or returning. Things just aren't going too good for those two now are they? Those at the coffin task finished one by one while the two were still up there and they FINALLY turned around thanks to Tammy's coaxing. Not sure how far Brad/Victoria are behind them though but we'll see if they can catch up. Kisha/Jen checked in third followed by Margie/Luke in fourth, Mark/Mike in fifth and Jodie/Christie in sixth. The brothers passed them up the mountain but at least the girls weren't second to last again! Back at the coffin task Tammy and Victor made yet another stupid mistake by not reading the clue. They thought they were missing a key and looked for it, finding it after a few minutes. That left Jaime/Cara to check seventh while Brad and Victoria were obviously going to come in last.
Tammy and Victor checked in, after having a crazy day, and Phil had to make it worst. He said that he had some bad news for them.. oh Phil give the two a good moment for once! They were sad about the round and obviously angry at each other. However they seem to have some hope but if they can't pull it together they' definitely won't make it anywhere near the end. Brad and Victoria finally checked in late at night where Phil eliminated them. He wasn't as harsh as he was for Tammy/Victor but at least it wasn't a non elimination leg! There would have been NO way they could have caught up.

Post a Commentthanks for the recap, I had to miss this one as I was out of town. I really wish they'd just get everyone on the same flight so that each leg could begin on equal footing. Then we'd get to see who actually does better at the tasks rather than who has bad airport karma. But I am still laughing at the cheese task, esp. when I watch the videos on youtube. That is classic Amazing Race footage.
Guess the hotshot BigLaw siblings aren't so bright after all. Who doesn't know how to do a cartwheel or a somersault? Then, "oh let's just keep going the wrong way rather than admit we might be wrong." Hahahahahahaha
