The Alex Dual-screen Ereader Preorders March 2010 in the US

It's official, there are currently more ebook readers than people that read books, but the Alex ereader is one that will surely turn heads. The Alex ereader will feature a dual-screen e-ink and touchscreen interface and preorders this March in the US.

Ereader, ereader, ereader! This world has gone ereader crazy and everyone, including Fisher-price, is releasing an ebook reader of their own. With so many ebook readers on the market, an ebook reader will have to do something new or bring new innovation to the ereader market to make ereader enthusiasts even take a glance at them and the Alex ebook reader has enough pizazz to get the attention of many.

The Alex ereader is an e-ink/touchscreen combo and is being described as being a merge between the Apple iPod Touch and the Amazon Kindle all wrapped into one ereader. The bottom half of the Alex ebook reader's dual-screen is a touchscreen interface and the books will be read at the top of the Alex reader's dual-screen display.

The Barnes & Noble Nook has sort of the same model of the Alex ebook reader with its combination of both e-ink technology and a touchscreen interface, but the Alex ereader has a lot more functionality in its touchscreen interface. The cool touchscreen of the dual-screen Alex ebook reader will allow extra features and functionality like selecting books, listening to audio, viewing pictures, retrieving bookmarks, streaming video, and lots of other cool features.

The design of the dual-screen Alex ereader is very ergonomically friendly and well suited for the ereader lover that wants to get lots of reading done without constantly touching their ebook reader's screen generating lots of dirt and mess. The large display on the Alex ebook reader's dual-screen interface is the closest us ereader fans will get to a color display until the LiquavistaColor is released.

The dual-screen Alex ebook reader is very impressive, but it's set to start preorders in March of 2010 which is Apple iPad's territory. Ereader lovers will have to pay $359 to enjoy their favorite ebooks on the dual-screen Alex ebook reader, but at just under $100 less than the Apple iPad, is the price of the Alex ereader justified?
