The All Around Best T.V. Moms

Sherri LaPonsie
As every mother knows, being a mom is a fulfilling job. Being a mother is a rewarding job. Being a mother is the best thing that could have ever happened. With this article I give my opinions about the best moms on T.V. Unfortunately these shows do not air anymore but you can buy the seasons or watch re-runs. This way you can watch their inspiration in action.

Annie Camden from 7th Heaven, played by Catherine Hicks. Now here is a mother you can relate to. She loves her children with out a doubt in the world and she corrects them. She is not to aggressive with her punishment but she manages to get her point across. Through out the span of the show you see how she handles her own 7 kids, plus a few strays along the way, that find the love they need in the Camden home. She gives me hope, as a mother myself, that no matter the problem there is a solution. Through out the show her children do most everything a child can do.

Jill Taylor from Home Improvement, played by Patricia Richardson. Dealing with 3 kids can be a handful, as she shows us,Then she has Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor, the biggest kid of all. Living in a house, overpowered by boys, she keeps her cool and stands her ground. This is information I am going to need seeing as it is already 2-1.

Lynn Kerr from Beautiful People, played by Daphne Zuniga. A single mother with her two young, ambitious daughters. To me she is a great mom because she talks to her daughters like they are people. This is very important, I think. Our children should be treated like children but we should also respect them for the age they are.

Lorelei Gilmore from Gilmore Girls, played by Lauren Graham. Here is a show a lot of women love to watch. A mother parenting her daughter as her daughter teaches her mom. This is a lesson I think we can all learn. I know I learn something new every day from my son. I also get to be there teaching him along the way. What could be a funner more rewarding job?

Every day with my son shows me a new experience, and new hope. I take tips from all these mothers and hope that I can be a great mother just like they portrayed on T.V.
