The Alphabet According to JerseyNana: "J"

My Alphabet Article for All Ages: Part 2

Diane Zoller-Ciatto
Youngsters: Hi kids, your first word is JUMPING JACKS. This is one exercise that really gets the juices flowing and gives you a good feeling overall. When Nana was little she watched Jack LaLanne on the old black and white television, he had an exercise program long long ago and tried to encourage people to stay physically fit. So along with him, we at home did our JUMPING JACKS and Mr. LaLanne is still going strong and is almost a hundred years old!

The second word is JOVIAL. To be JOVIAL means to be jolly and happy. Life is not always going to give us what we desire, but by having a JOVIAL attitude and emit happiness, things will find a way to work out and continue to give us happiness so we can remain JOVIAL.

In-Betweeners: Tweeners, your first word is JEANS. When Nana was little, only laborers, farmers, railroaders and prisoners wore JEANS. Suddenly as Nana grew up, JEANS became a status symbol and everyone had to have at least one pair of JEANS! Many designers put their names on JEANS and charged high prices for these JEANS. Now just about everyone has at least one pair of JEANS.

Your second word is JOURNAL. My favorite thing to do for many years was to JOURNAL every night before I went to bed. I had diaries for over fifteen years. One of these days, I will sit and read my JOURNALS and probably have lots of stuff to write about. So start JOURNALING!

Seniors: The first word for us seniors is JUDGE. I cannot believe how many programs on daytime television star JUDGES. There is JUDGE Joe Brown, JUDGE Alex, JUDGE Janine Pierro, JUDGE Marilyn Milian and many more. So have fun watching these shows and feel good that you are watching and not on them!

Our second words are JUMP START. Do you ever wake up in the morning and need a JUMP START to get going. Then have a good breakfast. I know that many times we skip breakfast and drag the rest of the day. Have something with protein like an egg white omelet or oatmeal that has good grains. I have to have my coffee or tea with my breakfast to get a JUMP START to writing.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and see ya soon!

Good J words, Diane. Made me think of my 15 yr. old grandson's new jeans. He came over the other day, all excited about the designer jeans he finally fits into. I told him I was happy he had found some new jeans so he could get rid of the pair he had on. He started laughing and said, "These are my new jeans!" Go figure!! :)
