There are those who need to always be right
So quick to find and point out a flaw
They dismiss others' views with a wave of a hand
They honestly believe what they speak is law
How sad to watch these people perform
How sad to see their desperation
To hold onto power, they demean others
They stand tall enjoying each confrontation
When faced with someone who knows all
It's best to just let them be
Fragile egos cannot absorb truth
It is their own truth that they can only see
Walk away from the ever right
Knowing their bravado will falter in the end
They will walk the path to loneliness and despair
Because they could not attempt to listen or bend
How hard is it to hear another voice
To see options and alternatives besides our own
An open mind leads to open arms
And the greatest challenges not faced alone

I know several and I just change the subject or walk away.
I think we can all relate, Donna. I've got someone in mind as I type! Know-it-alls are very annoying. You can never get through to them!

They are everywhere. I am reminded of an incident in an office where there was a know-all. Others rallied to tell him - he was a real put-off. But he had a retort - I know that also! Some will never change; it takes all kinds to make this world! siva
I always just want to punch know it alls in the face- just right in the kisser. Anyone else with me on this?? :)

Very interesting take! Haha!
My favorite professor in grad school used to say
"I know people who are always right. They're wrong a lot"
and another line about these people is "often in error, but never in doubt"
