Thought influences attitudes. If your thoughts are positive, your attitudes will always be positive and if thoughts are negative, naturally attitudes tend to be negative. Now, attitude influences action. Positive attitudes bring in positive actions and negative attitudes lead to negative actions. So, it is now time you think positive and nothing but positive.
But, just thinking will not give the result. You must feel the emotions behind the thought and that is the power. These emotions are the real forces which have to be felt and enjoyed and that are what you want to achieve.
There are two methods in which the positive thinking could be learnt.
Accept the reality:
Certain things we cannot change. What has to happen will happen, whether one wants it or not. If you are going through a difficult time, you should not get disheartened. You must try to look at the brighter side. You must reassure yourself and assert that you are OK. Tell yourself, that the rough time which you are now passing will make you strong in the long run. Feel happy because by this assertion you are looking at the brighter days ahead. The hard days has taught you certain lessons. Try to know those lessons and if the situation has suggested you to make some change in your approach, make those changes.
Invoke positive emotions:
Once you start to look at the bright side, now visualize the events which totally solve your problems. With this, you are releasing your negative energy. Now feel how you would feel if the problem is really solved. Visualize that happiness and enjoy it. The approach should be enjoying what you have and not to waste the time on what you do not have. This is the stepping stone for a positive approach vis-à-vis positive thinking.
Your attitudes are influenced by your positive thoughts. So, with positive thinking it will be possible for you to reach what you wanted to achieve. Because, you are the master of your own universe and you control the power within you and the things which are happening around you. You alone are capable of controlling these situations around you. So with proper approach, the success will always be yours.
The positive thinking is the beacon light when you are in difficult time. With sustained effort, you can see the end of road of difficult days.
