If you never watched The Amazing Race reality TV show on CBS, you should plan to give it a look during this fall's reality television lineup. The Amazing Race is not your average reality T.V. show. In addition to having some real questionable characters like all reality TV, The Amazing Race is actually very educational, interesting, and entertaining. A group of paired-up Americans travel around the world while competing in both physical and mental challenges in order to be the first to reach the end destination and win a cool $1 million. Each competitive challenge in The Amazing Race is designed to include specific cultural aspects of that country as well as its history, geography, and popular attractions.

The Amazing Race Season 13 has some new spins to it. Pairs will have to travel to floating city destinations and countries like Cambodia and Kazakhstan. There is even a hint from CBS that one Amazing Race team makes an unprecendented mistake that costs them the race and the $1 million prize. The Amazing Race fans can also look forward to some pretty steamy relationship building as motives for entering the race.

This season, we have a certainly colorful mix of The Amazing Race cast members:

Nick and Starr
are the first celebrity pair in The Amazing Race cast. Nick performs in the Off-Broadway musical The Fantasticks, and Starr was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader for the last three seasons. They both say they have achieved their life-long dreams but will stop at nothing to win The Amazing Race. I'm not sure if someone's life-long dream is to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader that they have what it takes to win The Amazing Race. Duh!!

Ken and Tina
are also a celebrity pair and sure to shoot some fireworks up around the world during their Amazing Race. They have an Amazing Marriage problem but think that The Amazing Race will help them reconcile. Ken is an ex-NFL player for the San Diego Chargers and St. Louis Cardinals. Tina is a business owner and CEO who left Ken nine months ago, partly because he cheated on her. Well Tina, keep an eye on Ken and the Barbie Doll twins during The Amazing Race. They are ready to flirt it up all over the world. By the way Tina, I wish you the best, but as a savvy businesswoman, do you really think a race will make Ken faithful for the rest of his life? HHMM. What business is it you say you own?

Andrew and Dan
are fraternity brothers from Arizona State University. Hey maybe 2008 Presidential Candidate John McCain will meet them at the end of The Amazing Race with a job offer in politics?? Oh wait, if they win $1 million, they will have more money that President hopeful John McCain makes in politics. Don't accept the job Dan and Andrew!

Marisa and Brooke
are another (oh no) Barbie twins, Southern Belle couple who are sure to keep the season stirred up with flirty personalities, perfect bodies, and competitive charm??

Kelly and Christy
have been best friends for ten years and feel that they have tackled everything in life together. They are sure to be the rival pair against the Southern Belle Barbie twins.

Aja and Ty
have a long distance relationship but got to spend two weeks together at Christmas - the longest they have been together in their nine-month friendship. Now this should provide some great entertainment if they think The Amazing Race is like a Christmas holiday!

Mark and Bill
who met at a science fiction club and both love comic books. They have been friends for 23 years.

Anita and Arthur
bought an organic blueberry farm and make and sell their own honey. They look like they are straight out of the 1960s hippy love generation. I love it!

Terrence and Sarah
have only known each other for one year and both are pretty ambitious. Sarah has an MBA and attends Wall Street meetings while Terrence sells real estate and coaches runners.

Toni and Dallas
are a Mother and Son team and word has it from the Son, Dallas that single Mom Toni has some pretty good stories to tell.

Anthony and Stephanie
have been broken up for a year and hope The Amazing Race will bring them back together - so together they want to be engaged by the end of the race.

There you have it. It is too soon to predict the winner, but based on some people's stupid motives for wanting to enter The Amazing Race, I gather they are also too stupid to win The Amazing Race. So, I will put my money on Mark and Bill, Toni and Dallas, and Andrew and Dan to be in the top three finalists of The Amazing Race.

Did you catch the premier? The stereotypes were living up to their billing. I like the Comic Book Guys though.

Re sibling team - once you have reached your life long dream you get a new one, so what is wrong with reaching the first ones early in life - it allows you to set a new goal and go again!
